The National Botanical Garden named after Grishko is included in the natural reserve fund of Ukraine and is protected as a national treasure. It has a huge territory and a large collection of plants, so it is one of the leading botanical gardens in Europe. Unique floristic complexes have been created here, and research is being carried out in the fields of theoretical and applied botany.

great vacation spot
We were here with friends at the beginning of May, when everything was just blooming and the garden was not yet as bright and beautiful as it is in summer, but even at that time it was amazing. The lilacs were already in bloom, many trees and shrubs were turning green. Nice and spacious.→

May in the botanical garden
You can come to the botanical garden at any time of the year. In winter (February-March), azaleas and camellias bloom. In spring (April-May) - magnolias, rhododendrons, a luxurious collection of lilacs (21 species out of 28 existing) and fruit trees. In summer (June-July) roses bloom, and in autumn (September) chrysanthemums bloom. And there is also a greenhouse complex with plants from the humid tropics, the Garden of Eden with a collection of exotic birds and tropical butterflies, and a Korean garden - these expositions are open all year round.→

Directions: from the metro station "Pecherskaya" by bus number 62 or trolleybus number 14 to the final stop "Botanical Garden". This garden is a real gift for the residents of the metropolis, but getting to this place is not easy. The garden is located within the city - on the right bank of the Dnieper, and to get there you will have to suffer a lot. I immediately warn you that the bus runs extremely rarely and many do not fit on it, which causes scandals.→
