The Transfiguration Cathedral in Nikopol is the second cathedral of the Krivoy Rog and Nikopol diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord was built in 1898, as a brownie, at the expense of the workers of the local brick factory. In 1937 it was closed, in 1960 it was turned into a planetarium, then the cathedral building was used to operate a radio station, the tower of which is located nearby. In 1993 the church was returned to the Orthodox community. Sunday and icon-painting schools are open at the cathedral. There is an observation deck on the bell tower of the Transfiguration Cathedral. The territory of the temple is fenced with a stone fence with gates with three hipped ends, crowned with crosses.
