The Kornyakt Palace was built in 1580 for the wealthy Lviv merchant Konstantin Kornyakt. The building combines elements of Gothic, Renaissance and Empire style. Later, the palace passed into the possession of the Polish king Jan III Sobieski, by his order the house was merged with a neighboring building and rebuilt into a palace residence. Inside, the so-called Italian courtyard was arranged, a three-tiered arcade-loggia. Now the Kornyatka Palace houses the Department of Historical Values ​​of the Lviv Historical Museum.

Italian patio
Once on Rynok Square, try not to stare at the Black House, next to it there is an Italian-style building with 6 windows, which can not be missed, because inside is a surprise! There's an Italian patio! Try to come during the day, because at 17-00 the entrance is closed (the entrance is paid). We didn’t have time, so this time we admired only the facade. Don't miss the chance - lovely courtyard, very suitable for photo shoots!→

Venetian house
There are many interesting places in the market square that are not conspicuous. Or vice versa - they really stand out noticeably against the background of other attractions, but for some reason the tourist still passes by. This may be the case with many travelers who have certainly seen the "black" house in the market square. No one will think that a courtyard of a completely different architecture is hidden inside. Little Italy lurks here.→
