The Lviv Opera House is an amazingly beautiful building designed by the famous architect Zygmund Gorgolevsky in 1897–1900. The theater was opened in 1900 with the premiere of V. Zhelensky's opera Janek. Since then, the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theater has been closed, reconstructed and renamed more than once, but to this day has remained one of the main symbols of Lviv and a masterpiece of architecture. In 2000, on the centennial anniversary, the theater was named after the outstanding Ukrainian singer Solomiya Krushelnytska. Currently, the theater's repertoire contains more than 40 operas and ballets. Excursions for tourists and residents of the city are held in its building.

Charming theater
Despite the fact that I am not a fan of either theater or opera, the atmosphere impressed me! We bought the cheapest tickets, but the stage was visible and everything was heard well. A visit to the theater was a good ending to a walk around Lviv.→

divine place
I agree, this is truly a masterpiece of architecture. He is beautiful both day and night, but inside he is still beautiful. I only recommend to find out the time when there are no performances and go. Liked the mirror room. Everything is so pretentious, pompous. The spirit is captivating. I recommend to everyone.→

masterpiece building
I can’t say anything about the level of performances that are staged here, but as a piece of architecture, this is a masterpiece, in my opinion. The area opposite is also very beautiful. It's nice to walk here.→
