The monument to Adam Mickiewicz is located in the city center on Mickiewicz Square. It was opened in 1904. The granite monument is called one of the best monuments to the Polish poet in the world: it is made in the form of a column, at the foot of which Mickiewicz stands, and an angel hovers beside him. The composition is crowned with a gilded unquenchable flame.

Monument to Adam Mickiewicz
One of the best monuments of Lviv, its business card. A monument to the Polish national poet was unveiled on October 30.1904. The construction was carried out from the end of 1903 under the direction of architects Alfred Zakharievich and Jó zef Sosnowski. The author of the project, which won the competition and was embodied, was the famous sculptor Anthony Popel. The monument is made in the form of a column of composite order, with a high granite pedestal on which is a bronze figure of Adam Mickiewicz.→

Monument to the Polish romantic poet, publicist, leader of the Polish national movement. A man with a difficult fate, a fighter who was friends with the Decembrists, who was respected and appreciated by A. S. Pushkin. Who lived little in Poland, but traveled a lot - was forced to live in Western Europe, and in the Russian Empire, and in Turkey. Was he in Lvov? But the monument in Lviv to the Polish hero is symbolic! And everything is calm, and it pleases. The monument has been standing since 1904, and let it stand, and let the flurry of history not touch it.→
