Ivanova Gora is a historical place of Poltava on the Cathedral Square, where more than 11 centuries ago there was a citadel of the annalistic city of Ltava. In the 17th century, an earthen Poltava fortress was built, which in 1709 withstood the siege of the Swedish army for three months. In 2009, the fortress wooden Podolskaya Tower was restored, which now houses a souvenir shop. From the White Pavilion, located on the cape of Ivanova Gora, a panorama of the Vorskla River valley opens for several kilometers with Exaltation of the Cross Monastery on the neighboring hill. On Ivanova Gora are the Assumption Cathedral with a bell tower, I.P. Kotlyarevsky, a restaurant in the national style "Ivanova Gora", monument to dumplings, a memorial sign about the mention of Ltava in the Ipatiev Chronicle, a small square with a fountain.
