Vinnitsa Mury is a complex of defense and temple structures of the 17th century, which includes the buildings and walls of the Jesuit monastery, the Jesuit church, the collegium with a hostel, the Dominican monastery and the church. Mura with powerful walls with loopholes and towers were erected in 1610-24 by Jesuit monks. In 1907-1911, the building of the Jesuit church was adapted for men's and women's gymnasiums, the collegium building now houses the regional archive, a local history museum has been operating in its hostel since 1929, and the Dominican church was transferred to the Orthodox Preobrazhensky Cathedral.
