DneproGES is located in the northern part of the city on the banks of the Dnieper. By the time of its launch in 1932, it was the largest hydroelectric power plant in Europe. The station played an important role in the development of the city and became one of its symbols. Today, more than 300 people work on it, and a museum operates at the hydroelectric power station.
