Monument of Eternal Glory

The Monument of Eternal Glory is located in the Zhytomyr park of the same name. It was opened on May 9, 1979 and is dedicated to the Soviet soldiers and partisans who liberated the city from the Nazis. The 37-meter cylindrical column is carved from labradorite, and sculptures of a Soviet soldier, a partisan and a patriot girl are installed on it. The Eternal Flame burns near the column and commemorative tables are installed.
