Even in my youth, I got a little acquainted with such brands of wine as "Black Doctor" and "Black Colonel" of Sun Valley, these are dessert red wines of a very original taste, white wine "Solnechnaya Dolina", also dessert, used to be on our festive table. I think that "Madera" from them was the best in the expanses of the former Union. But the closer we got to the "construction of communism" the less often it was in stores. This also applied to Novy Svet champagne, which cannot be compared with the soda from the so-called Kyiv plant. champagne wines. This is the preface.
We have divided into sovereign countries. Ukraine has excellent wineries both in the Crimea and in the Odessa region. But no matter how I come to the Crimea, there is a large assortment of Massandra and Inkerman wines in stores, and they seem to have never heard of the wines of the Sun Valley.
And in the 10th year, we decided that it was time to visit the Eastern Crimea, but not all the time in the South Coast.
We rolled into Sudak, the climate is drier than in Yalta and Gurzuf. The sea is no different, the first water park in Crimea was opened, and walking around Sudak, I found a branded shop of the Solnechnaya Dolina winery with a full range
their fine and ordinary wines. Of course, we did not see the Black Doctor, but everything else was, something in bottles, and something in barrels for bottling, but everything was of high quality. Therefore, there was something to do at sea, and I no longer came up to try the so-called homemade wines, in common parlance - shmurdyaki. Although Sudak itself also has its own winery, the wines of the Sun Valley taste better.
Then, of course, I learned about the unique qualities of the climate and soil of the Sun Valley, and about the features of ancient grapes, which are nowhere else and they do not want to grow in other places. On the way back, we dropped into the cellars of the Sun Valley and took various wines from this winery. And so we always did when we were in the Eastern Crimea.
The last thing I remember is the village of Morskoye, there is a large branded store of Massandra wines, and a small trailer lurks on the seashore selling wines from the Sun Valley, which, cold, went very well in the heat on the beach.
Now I'm afraid that this is no longer the case, as they tell me, the annexation of Crimea has led to a halt in many things in Crimea, maybe this plant has been stopped.
