Aquapark Banana Republic

The largest water park in Crimea
Rating 8110

Going to the water park or to the rides, for me personally, is always a search for a healthy compromise, between Wow-super and Wow...You definitely come here for the sensations, the effect of weightlessness and joyful tickling of the nerves. But I don’t want it to end with cruel descents, porridge in the head, permanent splashes of chlorinated water filling the mouth open from fear and rebounding heartbeats on the heels and top of the head, enclosed in the shell of a mortal body.
If the attractions are too heaped up, it's not interesting. Excess adrenaline blocks the pleasure center, and a face frozen in horror is unlikely to attract an audience and favorably affects mental stability. But not "twisted" rides cause sluggish melancholy and universal disappointment.
Here I would like to assess the rides assembled under the sky of the "Banana Republic" in a cool and unbiased way, as far as possible, and help with priorities for future visitors.

So, let's start with children's attractions, since, as I think, the lion's share of visitors will be staffed with children and mothers who take care of them.

Upon entering, immediately on the left you will see a wonderful pool with the smallest slides for the little ones. Small slides and slides for preschool children. A wonderful place in the shade to take an empty sunbed, as well as warm up the kids before more serious slides. This is where we settled, as it is really a strategically important place. From here, easy access to all children's attractions, cafes, toilets, and the shadow here is the most notable.
Very close to the pool for the little ones there is a simple pool with a depth of 80 cm, and in the left wing of the water park, a new huge complex with slides has just opened. There is entertainment for children of all ages: several slides of varying difficulty, water blasters, water screens and a huge bucket of water, which approximately every 5-10 minutes turns a ton of water onto the head of squealing youth.
Right next to it, children are tempted with ice cream and cotton candy, and the children are supervised by experienced instructors, hardened in battles.

We have decided on the children and move on to adult attractions. Thanks to the thin crowd on the territory of the water park, I was able to clearly try almost all the rides without compromising time and health. Let's go in order and start with the "old guard". These are unisex attractions, familiar to you from all domestic water parks.

"Springboard"
A four-lane soft slide that adds competitive excitement to the skating process. We ride on the priest in a pile of splashes and emotions. Nothing supernatural. Quite a harmless attraction even for children and women. The downside is that after a couple of seconds there is little to see because of the spray. Pluses - a small queue due to the relative lack of popularity and the rapid turnover of "passengers".

"Funnel"

A nearby green whirlpool with a rather frisky descent and subsequent drop into the pool upside down. Nothing dangerous or intimidating, but this is for lovers of something more fun. Referred to as the "toilet" by the customers, it was my first slide and even took my breath away a little. Although I would not put any restrictions. The subsequent dumping into the pool is quite safe, since there is a reserve of half a meter between the hull and the water's edge.
From this attraction you get into a large pool for adults with an announced hydromassage.
True, I did not look for it, maybe that's why I did not find it.

"Orange"

A completely harmless entry-level slide for those who like to ride in circles. Suitable for both young and old. A warm-up slide, without much emotion. You should already go upstairs with circles, and there you will have access to two slides immediately to the "Orange" and "Zebra".

"Zebra"

It seems to be a similar slide with "Orange", but already more challenging and exciting. The same descent on the circle, but in the dark with flashes of light and unexpected turns. You can and should scream, squeal and enjoy life. One of the best slides in the water park. At first, people shun the ornate zebra. Well, I categorically forbid you to do this.

"Yula"

Light serpentine for the little ones, very poor on emotions. Only for the little ones.

Lego

It forms a single complex with Yula and is located on the same staircase with Zebra and Orange. A very similar analogue of "Orange", but without circles.
The same easy emotions for beginners, but in a tighter space.

"DNA"

Two intertwined pipes of different colors with identical functions. More adult attraction with a good package of emotions. Nothing supernaturally terrifying, but with more vivid sensations. Descent without circles and in a closed space. Not for those who are claustrophobic.

"Kamikaze" and "Banzai"

This is where I wash my hands. The highest rides in Crimea are not for me. There is experience of such descents. Full head spray in 5 seconds. Just fly and wait for the inevitable impact on the water. For lovers of wet sensations.

The attractions of previous years are over. After relaxing in the pool with two cocktail bars, you can safely move towards the new complex in 2015. I recommend not to delay with this intention, since you can ride the old rides later, but defeating the crowd for new activities is not trivial.
A serious drawback of the new complex is that there is only one line upstairs for all 6 attractions. Closer to the surface of the stairs, roll calls begin, who is on which slides, in connection with which there are shifts and detours of languishing customers on the turns. This adds excitement and friction. Shy quiet ones usually fight to the bitter end, while nimble youth paves the way to the top.
I think the organizers should do something, since such a leapfrog occurs at the beginning of the season with a queue of 60-70 people maximum. And here is what they will do 200-300. And if the lads supplying the top with circles are not very agile?

By the way, at the first hype at the top, I recommend dragging circles there on your own. There is a chance to skip the line between visitors sadly waiting for a fresh portion of circles.

So, on top of the 6 rides. "Frisbee" (normal) and "Rocket" (Mom dear! ) have not yet been put into operation.

"Milky Way"
What you need. The most magnificent attraction in my rating. Soft, smooth, wide, family. A couple of somersaults and a relaxing descent with a portion of fun. No head-and-foot. Young extreme sportsmen, as a rule, do not take a queue for this attraction. So when you get to the top platform, feel free to ask if anyone eats on the “white” hill and go boldly. The circle is designed for 2-5 people. Experienced people say that the more people, the more fun the descent. Does not require special training. I rode with my wife and daughter and everyone was satisfied.

"Turbo"

Another attraction is what you need, but more fun. For those who like to tickle their own I. The wife has not gone. Still, here it already smacks of emotions, awe, and for some, fear. Nothing fatal. It is a must to ride. Emotions are generous and worthy. I really liked. For the third time, even my daughter rode with me, after which I greatly respected her. A good leap forward after the children's slides
. We ride on a single or double circle.

"Sphere"

A very strange attraction. Only for those who have never heard of claustrophobia. Ride in single laps. The difficulty of the descent and the speed are not great. Light acceleration with braking in spheres. Only the second sphere refused to launch me further. I circled in it in a circle and could not slip through to the next stage. I had to practically stand in the pipe and with my feet to direct the whole process in the right direction. Dark, but does not require special training and self-discipline.

"Tsunami"

Oh-oh! Looks like someone is about to take off. Looks exciting for someone, but terrible for someone. Here you have a free fall and walking along the edge. Not for the faint of heart. Exclusively for "daredevils" or "let's go boys". You can ride alone or in pairs. Screams all around. The lion's turn is here and on the "Sphere".
Here, because there are not so few fearless warriors in our area, and on the "Sphere" so often people clog the pipe (well, like me with my attempts to swim out of the second sphere).

All this height of madness with cool rides of the new age is bordered by the Amazon River with frivolous drift in circles that begins immediately after descending from any of the rides of the new group. There are a couple of surprises, but the river is like a river for lovers of water recreation.

I hope I was able to decipher the ride code names to help you prioritize. The most successful I consider "Zebra", "Milky Way" and "Turbo". I tend to consider myself a sane person and outgrown the stage "but there is something cooler. "
But you will need my feedback and emotions only at first. After that, you can create your own hit parade and deal with the queues with proper planning and luck!

Happy riding!
