More recently, the Orthodox have a new pilgrimage route - a visit to the Kiziltash Monastery in the name of St. Stephen of Surozh, located in the mountains, 15 kilometers from Sudak. Excursions to the Kiziltash Monastery are rare. The route is too difficult and dangerous. The road to the monastery goes through the military unit, by transport you can only get to the Red Rocks, in the Kiziltash tract. The remaining two kilometers to the monastery have to be reached on foot, along a narrow path.
