Railway bridge in Yaremche

Railroad bridge in Yaremche
Carpathians, Yaremche
The railway bridge in Yaremche was built at the end of the 19th century and, at that time, was one of the five largest railway bridges in Europe. The bridge was built under the Austro-Hungarian Empire, during the Second World War it was almost completely destroyed. Later, the Soviet authorities restored it, but significantly simplified the original design. The bridge crosses the Prut River and connects the villages of Delyatyn and Voronenka.

Yaremche is a city where you definitely want to return and enjoy once again the nature and the fabulous color of the mountains) The town is small, so all the sights fall on the eye immediately) The railway bridge is no exception) The bridge itself is quite high, but to be honest we did not dare to go through it . Firstly, it’s not safe, because a train can pass at any moment, plus the fence is old and it’s better not to look under your feet, as you can see the waterfall) We just looked from the side and it's really beautiful.

One of the hallmarks of Yaremche is the railway bridge. This bridge was built after World War II. The most interesting thing is that this road is a link with Transcarpathia to this day. On the way you will see insane beauty, mountains, forest, colorful houses. We advise everyone to visit and ride along this road.

This bridge can freely claim to be one of the most beautiful bridges in the most picturesque area in Ukraine. And although the modern reinforced concrete bridge is not as beautiful as the one that was built during the Austro-Hungarian Empire and destroyed during the Second World War, it is still worth visiting. Moreover, when arriving in Yaremche, it is not so difficult to do this - the bridge is located in the northern part of the city, and a real railway passes through it (! ) The height of the bridge is 65 meters, the landscapes around you will definitely not disappoint, besides, just a few meters there are several wonderful authentic restaurants where you can slowly "digest" new impressions.
