Church of Saint Martin

Cathedral Church of Saint Martin
Carpathians, Mukachevo
St. Martin's Church is located in the very center of the city. It was built in 1904 on the site of a Gothic church. The light brown Gothic church with three pointed domes is decorated with rich decorations, carved window casings, and a beautiful clock tower. The chapel of St. Joseph of the XIV century has been preserved in the courtyard. Today the church belongs to the Roman Catholic Church.

Recently, during a tour of Transcarpathia, I visited the Church of St. Martin, located in the heart of Mukachevo. An excellent example of neo-Gothic architecture. Impressive iconostasis. It is very difficult to assess the appearance from the side in the future, because the church is hidden in the greenery of a small but dense park. A very high and steep spire can be seen from afar. The highlight is the ancient truly Gothic chapel of St. Joseph, located in the courtyard of the church to the left of the entrance.
