The National September 11 Memorial and Museum is located in Manhattan South on the site of the World Trade Center towers that were destroyed on September 11, 2001. The complex is dedicated to the memory of the victims of the terrible terrorist attack. The memorial was opened in 2011, and the museum two years later. It features photographs, videos, testimonies and items related to the events of 9/11.
