The Palace of Fine Arts is located in the Marina between Golden Gate Bridge and Pier 39 Shopping and Entertainment Center . It was built in 1915 as a temporary museum for the Panama Pacific Exposition. However, he was so fond of the locals that they decided not to demolish it. The palace resembles an ancient Roman building and includes elements of various architectural styles.
