I have been going to Dombay for 13 years. Almost every year, several times a season. I just love the place itself. But the local figures of the tourist industry continue to upset. For 13 I saw and heard a lot of things, but SUCH ...
So. Were in this institution (together with a friend) from 8 to 11 March 2012. We lived in a 2-room suite. The room was very cold the whole time. Despite the fact that the batteries fired in good faith. Apparently, during the construction of this "hotel" they saved a lot on thermal insulation. Saved only two electric heaters. Considering that there were only 3 rooms (including a bathroom), it was very uncomfortable in the mornings. In the corridors and on the landings, the temperature was the same as on the street, we did not feel much difference. Further, constant problems with water. As with hot - it was simply impossible to wash normally, the temperature and pressure were constantly changing. So it was with the cold - in one morning I had to wait several hours until at least ANY water would go.
Power cuts intermittently. The funny thing is that there was no light in our room, but downstairs (in a cafe) there was: ) Waking up on March 9, we were very "pleasantly" surprised by the SIMULTANEOUS lack of water and light. That is, to wash, drink tea and even go to the toilet for great need: ) it was not possible. An hour and a half later, ONLY cold water appeared. My friend could not stand it - he went to the common toilet on the ground floor on an icy toilet : ) And the staff disappeared somewhere - there was no one to ask what kind of nonsense it was and when everything returned to normal. For 3 days they never cleaned the room. Yes, they cleaned up there - they simply did not take out the garbage. In response to my wish to throw out the garbage, I received an offer to collect it MYSELF in bags and take them to the 1st floor: ))) My question is "what about vacuuming?

"caused my aunt to laugh : ) although the vacuum cleaner was standing right on the landing next to our room : )
But the biggest trouble happened on the final day of our stay in this wonderful "hotel". Initially, we booked a room for 3 nights - 8.9, 10 March. Estimated time was announced at 12-00. They planned to leave quietly on March 11 - in the morning, before 12 o'clock. March 9 paid off in full for all 3 days. It was not possible to calmly spend the final day (from March 12-0.10 to March 12-0.11). It all started with a call from Alina (formally, she is the director there - the daughter of the real owner of the "hotel"). It was with her that I negotiated the reservation and transferred the advance payment to her. At first, Alina tried to “sell” me that since I booked a room from March 7, and checked in at one in the morning on the 8th, I should compensate her for the lost profit, because.
because of me they did not rent a room a day earlier. My arguments that, firstly, I have booked a room since March 8 and, secondly, that I will pay only for the services actually rendered (3 days of stay) seem to have worked. Further, Alina began to tell me that 3 days of my stay expire at 00:00.11 March. And I have to either leave the hotel at this time, or pay another 3000 rubles. My objection that I would leave their "hotel" in the morning BEFORE checkout time was simply ignored. Alina continued to stubbornly impose her point of view on me: ) After talking with her for half an hour and concluding that she either really doesn’t understand me, or simply “spoils” me for money, I couldn’t stand it and hung up. Moreover, my phone was in roaming and managed to gobble up several tens of rubles for an incoming call during the conversation. Then her husband, a certain Rasul, entered the stage.
"Some" - because the staff from neighboring hotels does not know anything about him, but he works like an administrator in this "hotel" for several months at most. And Rasul this broken hour, also on the phone, carried outright nonsense. The essence is the same - since I booked on the 7th (but in fact - on the 8th), I have to pay extra for another day. After my reasoned objection: ) he began to come in from the other side: ) and told me that, they say, the 3rd day expires at 00:0.11. 03 and I have to either leave at that time or pay extra. For an hour I tried to explain to him how to actually count the day of stay. Explained extremely culturally, correctly and very patiently. Rasul, like Alina, either sincerely did not understand me, or pretended not to understand.

After I said that I would leave the hotel in the morning and I wouldn’t pay extra (and shouldn’t) - Ostap suffered: ) Cursing and outright insults fell down, of which the “moron” was the mildest: ) Threats were also quite distinct, like: " yes, I’ll come right now and throw you by the scruff of the neck along with your things into the street if you don’t get out at midnight !!! ” By the way, this comrade was very drunk then. I can't say that I was so afraid of these threats: ) A little later, my friend called him - he seemed to calm down a little, and even allowed him to stay. But only to him, and he ordered me to "get out": ) And he ordered his subordinate (hotel worker) to take me out into the street. At 00 hours 00 minutes: ) if I do not go out myself. He said that in a couple of hours he would come (from Cherkessk) and personally check whether I left or not. And even break into the room to personally check: ) Here is such a famous Caucasian hospitality...
Eventually. We stayed in the room until the morning.
No Rasuls ever arrived - which was to be expected: ) we calmly packed up, had breakfast and left, taking with us "positive" impressions of the Caucasian "hospitality": ) As it turned out later (from a conversation with the staff of the "hotel") - our case was not the first and not the last for the time that Rasul was put in charge of this "hotel". 3 travel agencies have already refused to cooperate with them. Not surprising...
Draw your own conclusions, fellow vacationers. If you want extreme sports, a showdown with the administration of the hotel ("distributing" for money), and not a comfortable rest - then welcome to the Zvezdny Hotel !! ! :
