My husband and I visit Pskov quite often. We like it there. During all our trips, we invariably stop at Olginskaya. We book the room in advance. This is an amazing hotel. Simple. Former "Tourist" but after a very bad repair. Cheap. But its main advantage: a place on the map. It is located in Zavelichye. It stands on the very bank of the Velikaya River near the Olginsky Bridge. And opposite the Kremlin and the Trinity Cathedral flying over the city. This miracle can be seen from the windows. It is worth jumping over the bridge and you are already there. For the sake of this view from the window, I will always stay in this hotel.
I would like to note that a beautiful view is a free supplement to the Standard rooms and above, with all the amenities in the room + breakfast included in the room. Cheap rooms overlook a dreary courtyard and, alas, amenities are on the floor.
In general, the hotel is good and comfortable. The staff is friendly. We really like it.
