As part of my trip to Stockholm, I had a chance to take a ferry to Helsinki.

We set off by Viking Line ferry from the port according to the schedule around 16:00, we looked at the tickets when boarding, but the documents were checked selectively.

In my mind, the ferry looked rather stereotypical and was associated with a "crossing", but not with a journey. What I saw inside amazed me. This is a multi-storey ship that has everything you need to spend your time in comfort, from a buffet breakfast restaurant, duty free to a concert hall and a small casino.

We had a budget cabin, inside (no windows) with a double bed. The bathroom is very compact - the toilet and shower are practically combined, but this is enough to put yourself in order. The cost was approximately 120 euros (April 2017). Cardboard keys with magnetic tape for access are issued to the cabin. I accidentally forgot my key in the cabin and, in order not to return, I asked for a new one, which they did without any problems, however, it was no longer registered.

When leaving, the weather was conducive to a walk along the upper decks, you can take beautiful photos and look at the surroundings. It is worth stocking up on a warm jacket or windbreaker, as it is very windy upstairs. After it got dark, a small storm arose, the rocking was felt, but after some time they got used to it and no longer noticed it. However, people with a weak vestibular apparatus should not forget about the drugs or monitor the weather in advance before the trip.

From the ferry's establishments, we visited a buffet for a snack, where we took a large shrimp sandwich (pictured), were in a bar near the concert hall on the stern and in a restaurant on the upper deck, where an excellent multi-course dinner was served for 50 euros per person with a beautiful presentation and interesting combinations of flavors (see photo).

Duty free on the ferry is large, there is something to buy - from cosmetics to clothes and accessories. A wide selection of alcohol, you can save on the bar ; ) The casino is also worthy of attention if you are a gambler and like to test your luck. Personally, I was lucky - I bet 10 euros on red / black in roulette, stayed with my own, then doubled for a dozen, repeated a dozen - doubled - and left satisfied)

From evening entertainment - for the older contingent, concerts are held in the hall at the stern, for young people there is a disco.

The breakfast is delicious, varied, a lot of fresh vegetables, fruits, cuts, including lightly salted salmon, national Swedish meatballs in jam (unfortunately, I didn’t have time to try it - crush it). Drinks for a fee. It is especially worth noting the location of the breakfast restaurant - it is located in the bow, so you get a double pleasure from the treat - from the taste and from the view.

Arrival in Helsinki around 11:00 am, back around 5:00 pm. During this time, we walked along the nearest streets, warmed ourselves in Starbucks, and looked at sights not far from the port.

In general, I left with wonderful memories of the trip, I would gladly repeat it again or choose a new direction.
