March 9.2007 we went to rest in the ski resort of Slovakia - Strbske Pleso.

I want to go through several points at once.

1. Travel agency. We took a ticket through the tour operator "6 continents".

Everything was organized, everything that was promised, everything was there, in Kyiv we took the train and went to Uzhgorod. Both in Kyiv and Uzhgorod, a representative from the company was waiting for us. For those who are going to travel by train-bus, I recommend that you take with you, in addition to your international passport, some other document (license, passport of a citizen of Ukraine). this is necessary in case there are any additional issues at the border.

2. Hotel. Oh Patria. . . ! The hotel is just great! Comfortable, clean, convenient, delicious. . . It just so happened that we had to live five nights in Patria, and one night in Fis. To be frank: Fis Patria is not even a match for the soles. If you still have any doubts about the hotel, put them aside and go to Patria. We were just shocked when we were settled in Fis after the Patria.

3. Food. We went to eat at different restaurants. Most of all we liked the Furkotka restaurant. It is located near the railway. Very tasty food and moderate prices.

5. Tracks. We liked the tracks better in Bukovel than in Slovakia. In Slovakia we skied both in Strbska Pleso and in Tatranska Lomnica. The tracks are not cleaned during the day, so by lunchtime almost the entire track is in humps. In addition, the tracks are not diverse, as in Bukovel. But for lovers of cross-country skiing, Strbske Pleso certainly has something to do. Great track! Highly recommend.

6. Miscellaneous. I would also like to note that shops in Slovakia close very early, at 17:00-18:00, except for the Tesko supermarket. On Saturday, basically, all shops are open until lunch, and on Sunday, a day off.

While relaxing in Strbske Pleso or Tatranska Lomnica, you can also go to Poprad. You can go on your own by bus or by train, with or without a tour. We traveled by train, without a tour. The one-way train journey takes approximately 1 hour. in Poprad you can walk around the city, go to the water park.
