Another Phuket
I decided to write again about Thailand, more precisely, about Phuket. The noticeable difference between 2010 and 2014 prompted me to do this. In the 10th year I already described Peach Hill and its surroundings, in the 14th year the hotel was different (I remember by ear - “Mushi Kata”), but it was 200 meters away, so the area is the same.
First. It has become more comfortable for Russian-speaking tourists. A lot of inscriptions appeared in Russian - on shops, in the menu of cafes, on goods, etc. ; much more Russian travel agencies for excursions. Thais with great difficulty comprehend the language, if someone understands and even speaks, then these are more likely local Indians, they quickly grasp, somehow even resemble Arabs in Egypt or Turkey.
Second. Not a single "NO DURIAN" inscription! They put this fruit on stream, and began to make sweets, pastas, and dried fruits out of it. No matter what anyone says, but this thing is really tasty, this time even the wife ate and did not make a face.
Third. The Thais have changed. There is more business and less religion. Now the mudras (palms in front of the chest) do not fold. But there were a lot of markets, both in clothes and grocery. Therefore, the occupancy of cafes has become below average, because it is much cheaper to eat in the market or on the spot, or with you.
Fourthly, from the unpleasant. It seems that the pearl of Thailand is overgrown with garbage. For the first time, they were simply amazed at the cleanliness of the beaches, but now even the tides do not have time to wash away. And in the northern part of Kata Beach, under the trees, there are a bunch of people the height of a person. Civilization comes with both positive and negative aspects.
