Bounty - Koh Kood Island
I hope that my still fresh impressions of the trip to Kood Island will be useful to someone.
Introductory information: the route Moscow - Bangkok - Koh Kood, I travel alone, I did not buy any tours, hotels and transfers in Moscow, the duration of the trip is 1 month (at the moment), the transfer Bangkok - Trat - Koh Kood and the hotel in Trat and Koh Kood ordered through the website of a Thai company with Russian-speaking staff. And now the details.
Having rummaged for a decent time in the vastness of the worldwide network on the subject of where to go to relax in Thailand, I decided - this is the island of Koh Kood. Why this particular island? Well, my criteria for choosing a vacation spot were as follows: a lot of greenery, clean air, water and a beach, maximum peace and relaxation, minimum traffic, fuss and noise. I signed up with several companies, which ones I will not write, since I used the services of only one. I have no complaints yet - the reactions are adequate, the answers are intelligible.
Bangkok. At the exit after passport control, I noticed a thin, small Thai with a sign where my name was written. The Thai was a little nervous, as many white faces passed by him, and, probably, for him they were all the same, how to find your farang? When I said that he was waiting for me, he immediately broke into a wide Thai smile, bowed and helped to carry things to the car. Okay, I feel better too, I have a car, I have a driver, I’m in Thailand, we’re moving on, great!
We arrived in Trat in 5 hours. I can’t tell much about this city, as I saw it briefly through the windows of the car, it is suitable as a transshipment base before proceeding to Koh Kood. The guys booked a hotel, the cost is 800 Baht per day, an ordinary rural hotel, they offered me a choice of more expensive and more comfortable, but for one night, I decided this one would do.
At 11 am, I was picked up from the hotel and taken to the Laem Sok pier by a songteo (passenger open pickup truck). A fairly large pier and I'll tell you a big boat, the Express Boat is called. Loaded people about 70%, swam!
Although it was windy, there was no pitching, there was an air conditioner inside, a jacket would not hurt, they showed DVD movies, very loudly, but some Thais even slept, you see a habit.
An hour and a half later we arrived at Koh Kood. A fairly large concrete pier. Here everyone began to disperse who - where. Someone was met from hotels, someone called on a mobile, but I again saw my name on the sign. A pretty young Thai girl held a sign with my name and quickly ran her eyes over the arriving farangs. I'm here! Get in the pickup, let's go!
The first impression of Koh Kood is a fairy tale! This is the island where my dreams take me! Around solid greenery, jungle everywhere, occasionally there are buildings, the air is clean, just intoxicating after Moscow traffic jams, warm and sunny.
Stayed at Away Koh Kood 4 star hotel, nice clean hotel, nice staff.
Home soon, but I will definitely be back!
