We arrived at the hotel on March 25.2018, checked in, everything is more or less normal for a 3 * hotel. I left the money and documents in the safe, which is located at the reception. In a safe, if you can call it that (a box with a padlock and a key that looks like one for all locks), the valuables are handed over without an inventory, but for the approval of the administration they guarantee the safety of storage. This alarmed me, so I wrote down everything that I handed over: how many banknotes and what denomination. The next day, I took a certain amount from the safe and went on a trip to see the sights, in the evening I put the rest of the money back in the safe at that moment I counted all the money and it turned out that $ 10 was missing, the amount was not large, I thought maybe that- I didn’t think so at the time of shopping in stores. Again I checked everything that was in the safe and recovered to rest. The next day, I discovered that $ 200 was missing from the safe, and then tears welled up in my eyes, since it was almost all cash until the end of the holiday. First of all, I called the guide of my tour operator, as I do not speak English well and asked him to explain to the hotel administration what happened. I WANT TO NOTE THAT UNTIL THIS MOMENT I HAVE NOT APPEALED TO THE RECEPTION WITH THIS QUESTION. The guide asked the administrator to give the phone and after the conversation, what was my surprise when the guide said that the administrator had already looked at all the camera records, and supposedly no one but me approached my cell. Question: how did the administrator find out that my money was gone, if until that moment I had not contacted him with this question ??? ? Then everything became clear to me. The horror is that the hotel management is involved in theft directly from the safe. BUT THIS IS NOT THE FINAL. I said that I would contact the police and write a statement, to which the administrator informed me that in this case I would be CHECKED out of the hotel for inappropriate behavior. From this answer, I got a couple more new gray hairs, and even the guide said that in this situation he could not help. HORRIBLE I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel.
In the final, I will add: I took everything that was in the safe and went everywhere (including the beach) with documents and money. The rest was completely spoiled, and I just wanted to go home. What kind of rest can be if you have to sleep with a wallet under your arm.
P. S. While I was cursing at the reception, another tourist (a victim of theft) turned, she also lost $ 100 from the safe and small money from the room. She was told the same thing at the reception as I was (they didn’t take anything, but if you call the police, we’ll throw you out of the hotel). I want to note that after I calmed down, I came to the conclusion that cases of theft in this hotel are not uncommon, I would say that this is the norm for them at the level of the hotel administration. I really hope that tour operators will take this review into account and terminate the contract with this hotel in order to avoid damaging the reputation of their company.
