It took a very long time to choose a heavenly place for a honeymoon, since in August it is not the season in almost all exotic countries. As it turned out, in Thailand there is a place where it is still better to go in summer, and not in winter, this is Koh Samui. Peak season - July, August.
The airport in Bangkok is very large, the airport staff do not speak English and understand nothing. But they pretend that everyone understands and nod and say "yes" to any questions.
Do not forget that for Ukrainians you need to apply for a visa upon arrival, you must have 1 passport photo, photocopies of the return ticket (just in case), fill out the form, show your passports and go on a domestic flight. For lovers of duty free, I advise you to buy in Kyiv, since everything is in one store and the prices are cheaper.

The impression of the airport on Koh Samui is beyond words. This airport is private and is recognized as one of the best airports in the world, and in some year - the most romantic. In general, the airport is beautiful.
And now about the hotel.
The hotel itself is very beautiful, the territory is all in a tropical garden, chic landscape design. Huge golden fish swim in one of the ponds. We took the hotel for breakfast. Good selection, buffet. The beach is clean, no rocks. The ocean is like fresh milk, or rather the Gulf of Thailand, a good entry into the sea, not shallow and not deep, no ebbs were noticed. When it was hot, we went to the pool, where the water is cooler. The room is very comfortable, spacious balcony with small sunbeds. Upon arrival, the room had fruits, flowers and decoration with swans for the newlyweds. By the way, Thai fruits did not impress me. They didn't eat anything except bananas and pineapples. A cozy bar in the main building with balconies, it's great to sit there in the evenings, from where you can enjoy a great view of the hotel grounds. Live music in the lobby in the evenings.
Rest on Koh Samui, mostly Europeans, mostly Italians. There were almost no Russians, which made us very happy, since everything is calm, civilized and without Tagil))). The sand on Chaweng is light, almost white and the beaches are very beautiful. On Bophut, for example, there is yellow sand, like in Sri Lanka, and there may be a muddy bottom. But there are sunsets, which are not in Chaweng. But in general, they were satisfied that they chose Chaweng Beach, as there are a lot of entertainment, restaurants, and shops nearby. In 2 steps from the hotel there is an excellent restaurant of Japanese cuisine Fuji. Prices in comparison with Kiev - a penny, seafood is all fresh, rolls with salmon are awesome. It is cheaper to take sets, that is, the menu. I have never eaten such delicious Japanese food. The average check in restaurants in Chaweng was about $ 30 for 2, despite the fact that they ate a lot of seafood, with drinks (beer, fresh juices). They say it's cheaper in Phuket. But there are many Russians there, and it is better to relax there from November to March. Excursions from the tour operator (host) did not take, as it is expensive. Everyone was frightened by local tour agencies, but they decided, after all, to save money and did the right thing. Prices were cheaper by 500-700 baht per person. And the tour is organized with a bang. There are also some nuances in street agencies. All of them resell excursions of several companies organizing these excursions. And for the same tour from the same organizer, street agencies offer different prices. We went to Angthong Park for 1500 baht per person, organized by Lomprayah. Highly recommended, lowest price, good organization, very funny guides (in English). We also went to ride elephants, but there is already another organizing company, we booked all this in one agency, not far from the hotel.

The only BUT! This is that we were settled in the hotel not at 14.00, but at 15.30, explaining this by the heavy workload of the hotel. And so, in principle, the honeymoon was a success.
