Our magnificent holiday was spent in Thailand on Koh Samui. It was a paradise vacation! The island impresses with its splendor, diverse nature and wildlife, friendly and always smiling Thai owners. I don't know a better place on earth! Once on Koh Samui, we immediately plunged into its warm and friendly atmosphere. During the 10 days of our stay on the island, we visited many temples, waterfalls, rode elephants, swam in a waterfall, visited an open park with animals (which were hand-fed), visited the monkey theater, learned how monkeys help Thais collect coconuts, saw shows with crocodiles (putting hands and head into the mouth of a crocodile), learned how latex is mined, went on a comfortable catamaran to the islands of Koh Tao and Nang Yan, went on lake fishing (caught 3 huge catfish and 1 freshwater piranha there), tried Thai dishes and fruits.
And just swam in the Gulf of Thailand, in the pool and enjoying it all, sunbathing.
We stayed at the Lawana Resort. The hotel was chosen for a quiet and secluded holiday. That's how he turned out. The hotel staff is very friendly, everyone from the girls at the reception to the waitresses in the restaurant greet and smile. Restaurant waitresses are a whole other story. Such nice, caring, foresaw our every desire, advised the most delicious dishes. Thank them very much! The chef of the Lavana restaurant prepares everything very tasty. We especially liked the crab and shrimp soup. The restaurant has a menu with decoding of dishes in Russian. The hotel has free Wi-Fi, but so far only around the pool, in the restaurant and at the reception. But for us it was enough. We came to dinner, ordered, and while we were waiting for the order, we communicated via Skype with our relatives, showed them the interior of the restaurant surrounding us and our waitresses.

The Thais were delighted with this and joined in the conversation with our relatives, smiling, waving their hands and saying “hi, hollow”. The common pool is not big, but very clean and the depth comes gradually. There were always enough sunbeds around the pool for everyone, it was the same on the beach. The sand on the beach is large, but it is very pleasant for the feet to walk on such sand, a kind of massage. There were no ebb and flow as such. The difference was about 1 meter. The depth began almost immediately, having moved away from the shore by 2-3 meters, it was up to the neck. You can splash. Our room was the Deluxe Private Pool Bungalow. The room had a large raised bed. Coffee table with two chairs. Tea set with electric kettle. Cabinet with TV and under it a minibar. Dressing table with chair and mirror. Spacious safe. Wardrobe with ceramic dishes and all kinds of sea shells, several paintings, telephone, air conditioning, alarm system. Beach bag with two towels.
Two huge umbrellas in case of rain. Two bathrobes, and two pairs of slippers (everything was clean and sealed in bags). The bathroom had a toilet bowl, a sink with a mirror decorated with shells and starfish, a bathtub with a shower. Everything was cleaned to a shine. Also in the bathroom fun 2 body towels. From the bathroom there was a door to a private courtyard, there was our personal pool with a small waterfall, a huge sunbed for 2 persons, a shower and a lot of orchids growing in coconut shells. In front of the entrance to the bungalow there was a small terrace on which there were 2 armchairs and a table. The room was cleaned every day and, moreover, very conscientiously. They also cleaned our private pool every day. We have seen several geckos running peacefully along the outer walls of the bungalow. There were no ants or mosquitoes in the room or on the patio.
The entire territory of the hotel is replete with all kinds of vegetation: palm trees, fruit trees, flowers. And all this gives an unforgettable aroma, sweet and enchanting with its originality. And what magnificent butterflies flutter there from flower to flower! All kinds of colors and sizes. Not far from the hotel there is a 24-hour family March store, where you can buy a SIM card for your phone and top up your balance. And also all sorts of little things. There is a pharmacy opposite the hotel. In the direction of the Fishermen's Village, 200 meters from the hotel, there is a national bank where you can change currency or withdraw money from your card. There are many cafes near the hotel in any direction, where you can taste all kinds of Thai dishes for a change.
I can safely recommend the Lawana Resort to everyone who wants a quiet and peaceful rest from the hustle and bustle.
