The sea and the beach are not in competition, there is something to compare with: Hainan, Egypt, Pattaya, but the town itself, or rather a large village, leaves much to be desired.
I would recommend a holiday on Koh Samui and in particular in this hotel for those who have small children (the beach and the completely safe sea have this). But in the evenings it was boring, even with daily visits to massage parlors.
The sea is of course wonderful and the whole stay reminded us of a fairy tale . .
Let's start with the standard...The room in the nutria, in general, is not so bad, it has two huge minuses, there is practically no view from the window and the noise of radiators from air conditioners located under the windows, and there are no balconies yet !! ! The deluxe is ok. the room is large, quiet, view from the window to the pool, a large balcony with comfortable chairs. The service is good, the food is also normal, in the morning there is a buffet, everyone will find what he likes for himself, you can take an omelette, they will fry it right away for you! In general, everything is quiet and comfortable!
The beach, in my opinion, is the best in all of Chaweng, palm trees, sand, common with First Bungalow, is located in a small bay, there are not large rocks (stones) for those who like to snorkel, a beautiful bottom and wildlife ( fish, corals, crabs). From the hotel, walk along the bridge over the river and already on the beach, 30 meters from the hotel! To the main street, Chaweng, it’s a bit far on foot, 15-20 minutes ...but this is not a problem, you will still rent a motorbike, without it you won’t see all the delights of the island, life from the inside and from the outside, and their minibuses run back and forth continuously, they even have something like a terminal on the territory of First House and First Bungalow.
In general, value for money, it is better not to think of! Thai people are very hospitable and friendly, the main thing is that everything stays that way (and this largely depends on us vacationers).

The beach. . . without comments, the very place where you understand that there is still a paradise on earth : ) I loved to wallow in the shade of palm trees on a snow-white sand : ) And how cool it was to walk barefoot along the beach in the evening to restaurants for impiana, take grilled sea bass and beer there : ) Oh, I remembered! The only drawback is that I only caught wifi on the edge of the balcony : ) And since I also tried to work, it was not always convenient : ) The hotel located next to the fest is better... but also more expensive... and every hundred on the account overpay for the pool is more beautiful IMHO Pontus no. Really, after a week we went to Phuket to visit friends... Phuket has a shorter rest... Koh Samui is a fairy tale !!! !
