The territory of the hotel is large, in my opinion 3 buildings are active, the rest, 3 more pieces, abandoned, ugly, generally abandoned. I can't find another definition of a hotel as "shabby". Everything reminds of the good old Soviet boarding houses. The furniture in the room is shabby, clumsy, but a very comfortable bed, everything else, in principle, turned out to be insignificant - rarely does anyone spend a lot of time in a hotel. The room is always cool, even with the air conditioner turned off - powerful ventilation. Very good audibility - you can make out what they are talking about in the next room, and from 6 in the morning spoon-bowls start ringing in the restaurant on the 1st floor (we lived on the 8th). But again, this didn’t spoil the impression for us much, because we slept like the dead - all excursions start at 5-7 in the morning, you stay all day, then it’s all the same.
Breakfasts are normal, but not as big a choice as in Egypt, etc. countries. And besides, at 6 in the morning (early excursions) nothing goes into your mouth. Dry breakfasts (who leave on excursions before 6 am) are disgusting - inedible sausages, a couple of buns, eggs, a rotten tangerine (in the literal sense! ) And a disgusting drink "Green tea with some additives. " In general, all breakfasts were fed to monkeys and dogs - there are stops on excursions for feeding wild macaques. I am ashamed of the Russian people - I watched one, in front of which there were two plates with a slide with slices of watermelon, I ate these watermelons with the last of my strength, in the end I left everything in the plates and left. Just like the monkeys we fed - they have no sense of proportion, as long as they are given, they will take and shove food into themselves.
The beach - though its own, but have never been on it - the feeling is like in the Crimea - everywhere "Vasya! Kolya! ". In general, not a single foreigner, all the sunbeds are occupied, the pool by the beach is also full, like herrings in a barrel. We found a large pool on the territory of the hotel (Big Pool sign), there is no one there, the pool is just huge, the children's pool is just as big. There are few sunbeds, but there are always tables with plastic chairs. It is very pleasant to sit in the shade of sprawling trees, silence, the birds sing. Yes, the water is clean in the sea, but garbage floats - some bags, garbage is shorter. So there is no desire to swim either. This applies to the whole of Pattaya, so if you are traveling - no matter what hotel, with its own beach or a beach across the road, or there is none at all - you still won’t swim. In the center of Pattaya, the entire coast is crammed with motorboats, but people still swam (it is clear that Russians). We took a two-day excursion to the island of Koh Chang (and from it we were taken to the beach of the island of Koh Wei), there are crystal clear water, fish, corals (of course, not as cool as in the Red Sea), but we rented a kayak ( free of charge), sailed a little away from the beach and enjoyed the view of the impenetrable jungle, the singing of birds, the beauty is indescribable. If I still went to Thailand, then only to such islands.

As for excursions: we were on a sightseeing tour of Pattaya, Bangkok, a 2-day trip to the islands, a 2-day trip to the Kwai River, the tiger zoo and the Khao-Kheo zoo. A sightseeing tour of Bangkok turned out to be pointless, a visit to the royal palace and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha without a Russian guide is pointless. More precisely, there was a Russian-speaking Thai guide, but nothing could be made out of her speech. Chatters quickly, does not pronounce many letters, etc. "Patisa" - it turned out to be a word for a bird : ) Only lunch was remembered in the highest skyscraper in Bangkok - on the 86th floor, there is an open circular observation platform overlooking the whole city. Yes, and the lunch itself is gorgeous, a buffet - huge shrimp, crabs, octopus barbecue, sushi, meat of all kinds, etc.
The rest of the excursions: I won’t say that I liked everything very much, perhaps I liked the Khao-Kheo Zoo the most - there are animals in open enclosures, and some of them without enclosures in common, you can feed everyone, they immediately sell food for 20 baht - bananas, green beans , cucumbers, etc. Monkeys, camels, deer, goats, giraffes, ostriches, elephants. . .
The tiger zoo is not interesting, for any photo they ask for money 150 baht, animals are in cages or behind dirty glass. There were 3 shows - with crocodiles, tigers and elephants. Crocodiles are lethargic, tigers are lazy - they didn't even complete the program. I just liked the elephants.
River Kwai - again, I liked only the "animal part" - monkeys and elephants. Well, spending the night in houses on the water is also some exotic. Enjoyed the canal boat ride. The rest of the program was indifferent to me personally.

As for food, we didn’t go to hotel restaurants, we went a couple of times across the road to a cafe, or in the city - you can have a good bite for 500 rubles for two. There are several massage parlors across the road from the hotel, 200 baht for 1 hour, all massage therapists do it differently, even in the same salon. There are "reckless" masseuses who do not feel you, you leave after them as beaten, so if you find a suitable masseuse, you can stop at her. We got to Pattaya on a white tuk-tuk - for 20 baht per person (100 baht - 75 rubles) to the Big C shopping center, and then we walked to the city center. It was possible to transfer to another tuk-tuk for 10 baht, which run around the city. We got back in the same way - to the highway on foot or for 10 baht, and then a tuk-tuk to the hotel for 20 baht. Blue tuk-tuks go around the city, and white ones go along the highway (Sukumvit Street). A tuk-tuk is a pickup-type passenger car in which 10-15 people can fit. You can use this tuk-tuk from the city center to get to the hotel like a taxi, in this case it costs 200 baht, but it's like bargaining.
In general, I went for the exotic, but I saw a carefully planned program, everything is so unnatural, in general, the tourism business won over primitiveness. But they say it's only in Pattaya so. I will not return to it again. Only if the islands.
