Good afternoon! I would like to share my impressions (while fresh) about the rest. I'll start in order: 1. Meeting - met us "Lanta-Tour". . everything is organized on the level. . . friendly guides. . comfortable bus. . The guides talked about the mandatory and desirable conditions for a holiday in Thailand. . . they issued it with a free local SIM card (very convenient and profitable, for example, a call to Russia costs only 6-7 baht a minute, given that the baht is almost equal to the ruble) upon arrival at the hotels, we were escorted to the reception, checked how and where they placed, took into account wishes, all quickly, promptly. . well done! 2. Hotel Botany Beach Resort. Small but well thought out area. . . your beach. . which is important in Pattaya. . Although strictly speaking the hotel is NO LONGER in Pattaya, but in the suburbs. . And this is an absolute plus. . NOT NOISY. . NOT DIRTY. . clean sea - which in itself is a rarity. . The hotel is small (3-storey building in my opinion 75 rooms + two dozen bungalows and the same number of villas) and this is also a plus. . a small number of swimmers on their beach (the beach area is almost the same for all hotels and in comparison with neighboring ones, where on the same piece of the sea there are thousands of high-rise hotels multiplied by the number of vacationers, judge for yourself! ) There are ALWAYS free sunbeds. . . you don't have to take a seat in advance. . on the beach, in addition to umbrellas, there are also palm trees. . . since the sun is very active, it is pleasant and useful to lie in the natural shade. . two swimming pools on site. . My friends and I were accommodated in a bungalow suite (two couples), a very good option. . . purely. . cosy. . we had a common hall-kitchen with a small working area with a sink, a kettle, a microwave, a refrigerator, dishes, a common dining table, chairs. . . and respectively two numbers. . We really enjoyed! ! no insects! sometimes lizards ran by. . . but it's not scary. . they run everywhere. . . from the usual bungalows in the suite, the difference is also soundproofing. . the hall-kitchen between the rooms perfectly soundproofed the rooms. . since in ordinary bungalows (and they all have two entrances) audibility, sorry, like behind a curtain! Well, let this be the biggest minus of the bungalow. . . 3. Nutrition. . . Breakfasts. . . A lot of fruits. . in general, that's all. . . the rest we didn't like at all. . . monotonously. . poor assortment. . tasteless. . . They don't know how to cook European cuisine. . . if only something from Thai. . there is no cheese. . not curds. . no yogurt. . no hot buns. . shorter than a three with a minus. . . but you won't leave hungry. . . We traditionally had tea and coffee. . toasts. . omelette. . and, of course, fruits. . . We dined on the beach in a cafe (it's hard to call it a cafe) very tasty and cheap! I recommend trying Thai soup with coconut milk (Tom Yan). . delicious baked fish. . . seafood. . rice noodles. . fresh. . and it is inexpensive (soup-70 baht, whole fish -250 baht, juice-50 baht) portions are large! Bread, no cakes. . Ah this features of local cuisine. . they replace everything with rice. . dined as a rule in Pattaya in restaurants. . We also went to the restaurant of the hotel "Botanichesky Sad" with a pleasant atmosphere. . Russian waitresses. . But to be honest, I didn't like the food. . Alcohol - wine, beer, whiskey bought in stores. . local wine for an amateur. . there is good beer (draught I advise) and of course European. . vodka is also available. . 4. Thailand. . I’ll make a reservation right away, don’t judge Thailand by Pattaya ! ! This is a resort originally created by the Americans for military sailors, pilots, and so on with its own specifics - bars, prostitutes, salons, trannys, transsexuals, shows, sextourism. . It might be cool too. . but this was not invented by the Thais and certainly does not characterize them as a people. . and these legends that when a boy is born in a Thai family, everyone cries. . that they are lazy. . that they do not cook at home and eat only in cafes. . . that they live only at the expense of tourism is complete nonsense. . . What is the demand, so are the supply. . . it is a city specially created for such needs. . Bangkok and even more so the provinces are strikingly different from Pattaya! Therefore, if you want to create a holistic impression of the country, do not be lazy, go on excursions. . I assure you will not regret it! I recommend to EVERYONE an educational excursion to the River Kwai. . and it is advisable to buy a tour a little more expensive (for 6-10 people! ). . our guide was a university teacher, professor of theology Vitaliy Anatolyevich (unfortunately I don’t know his last name) - an interesting person ! ! smartest human being!! ! He will turn your mind around! ! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND not to miss the chance to meet such an extraordinary person! He will open Thailand for you, make you fall in love with the country and respect the people. Ask your guides to organize an excursion with Vitaly Anatolyevich! And, of course, Bangkok! Islands - soak up, sunbathe, and snorkel. . . A lot of interesting things, just to meet the deadlines for the holidays. . And don't forget shopping. . The guides will name shopping centers where you can buy European brands at discount prices. . . We will definitely come back here again!
