So I decided to share my impressions of the Dor Shada hotel. Rested with my husband from 03.03. 09-15.03. 09, De-Lux room.
Emotions first. First impression when we arrived at the hotel: “Great! ". At the entrance there are large lakes in which lotuses bloom. One gets the impression that he got into the territory of a Buddhist temple. Silence and tranquility. The room is just huge. I really liked the style: modest and tasteful.
For my taste, what else can be required from the hotel, I do not know. For each person: hand towel, face towel, bath towel, bathrobe, slippers (disposable), gel, shampoo, brush and toothpaste. Change of towels and bathrobes every day, bedding and slippers - every 4 days. There is a hair dryer in the room which is good enough. Every day two bottles of 0.5 of drinking water. In the free use of a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar (white and brown), dry cream. Refrigerator-bar, in which there is whiskey, cognac, beer, etc.
TV - plasma, one Russian channel, several English-speaking. Internet in the room is free (try to find it in some other hotel in Pattaya). The bed is just awesome: wide, high. The personal air conditioner works great. Sufficiently spacious closet with hangers. The safe is hidden in the closet. The bath is big. Separate shower and bath. Each room has a balcony with a stoic and 2 chairs.
Farther. Nutrition. We had BB. The restaurant is big. You can eat on the terrace (if it's high in this heat). The door opens the staff (so that you, God forbid, do not overwork). Every day (! ) offered a choice of 16 (!!! ) hot dishes. For every taste: sausages, soups, bacon, chicken, pork, seafood, vegetables, rice, etc. Fruits, salads, yogurt, cereals, coffee, tea, different types of bread, jams, juices. There are not many sweets. I can’t say that there was a lot of variety during these 12 days, but everything is always fresh and very tasty.
The only thing that annoyed the restaurant was our tourists, who looked into each pot, although there was a sign with explanations next to each.
Swimming pool. Not very deep (1.50m) and paddling pool. Very beautiful: fountains, a huge amount of greenery, flowers, bubblers, a bar. Sunbeds, towels - free of charge.
Beach. Simply gorgeous! Wide, with green grass, cleaned. The sunbeds are on a beautiful lawn. Umbrellas, sunbeds, towels. As the guide told us, with such a beach, going to the islands is a waste of money. Beach bar and restaurant. When you get to the beach, you will be given a towel, and the boy will run ahead of you to wipe the sunbed, put a towel on it and put an umbrella. If, while relaxing on a sunbed, you decide to change the angle of the backrest, the boy will run to help you. Merchants (quite unobtrusive) are walking along the beach, whom the guards are chasing.
Right outside the beach, locals sell huge boiled shrimp (12 pieces per 100 rubles), beer, coconuts. All this can be brought to the beach, they will also bring you napkins.
The most important advantage, of course, in my opinion, is that it is VERY far from the noisy center. But, despite this, getting to the center is not difficult at all and costs less than $ 1 per person. This plus is also a minus, because on all excursions you will be taken one of the first (but you can take any place). Compared to neighboring hotels (not counting Ravindra), Dor Shada is just a toy: 2 buildings with 5 floors. There were few vacationers, we had the impression that the hotel was completely empty. The territory is not very big, but clean, green and very well-groomed. The birds are singing, there are many flowers.
From the entrance to the territory to the buildings - 100 meters. But they won’t let you walk, but they will bring you in an electric car. And in one direction and in the other.
They pick up very well.
They didn't leave a tip. The overall impression of the staff is very good: friendly, respectful and self-respecting.
