When buying a tour to Pattaya, we chose a cheap hotel on Jomtien Beach. The Dragon Beach hotel turned out to be the cheapest. After reading various information on the internet about the hotel, we were ready for the worst. But to my surprise the hotel was not as bad as they say. On the official website of the hotel, I found out that simple superiors are very small and modest, so I bought the so-called Deluxe. The room fully lived up to our expectations: 50-60 m2, a separate dressing room, a large king-size bed and a standard rather big one for a 7-year-old daughter. Everything is very clean and tidy, the plumbing is in good condition, there were no living creatures in the room. The elevator worked properly and silently. The territory of the hotel is small, the pool is also small, but comfortable with a compartment for children, the waterfall worked every day, the children famously dived into the water from it, every morning the pool was cleaned, as well as the area near the pool. Breakfasts are modest and monotonous, but no one went hungry: rice, noodles, fried eggs. toast, jam, sausages, ham, vegetables, etc. etc. - we had enough. The only negative impression is the nightly drinking of Russian tourists at the pool with all the ensuing consequences, but this is not the fault of the hotel. It seems that the Russians are going to drink in this hotel, and they drink for weeks, a crazy lady of about 35 in the next room broke the window from the inside, all the fragments fell out into the pool, just at the time when our children were pulsing there - horror. The hotel restaurant sucks: expensive and tasteless, there are many restaurants nearby that are twice cheaper and more diverse, but this is the personal choice of tourists where to dine. The main plus of the hotel is the beach exactly 30 steps from the reception. At what it is quite uncrowded and relatively clean. The safe at the reception is free and secure, not a penny was stolen from us personally. When you check in, the hotel workers first offer the worst rooms, but if you CLEARLY and persistently demand a more comfortable room in English, they will give you in a couple of hours, tested in your own practice. Towels are changed daily without problems, cleaning is done normally, we left tips only 2 times, and this did not affect the quality of cleaning. That is, I want to say that this hotel corresponds to its price and star rating, and the distance from the center is only a plus for us personally, we rented a motorbike and we didn’t know any transportation problems, in 20-25 minutes we drove through the whole city, bypassing traffic jams during rush hour. If a travel agent offers you this hotel as very good and not cheap, then change the travel agent. Happy holidays everyone!
