I want to share with you our trip to Pattaya on January 3 or 4.2007, we can say for the New Year 2007. We booked Thailand in advance somewhere in October, so the choice was good. There were four of us, the choice of the hotel was assigned to the female gender. The choice fell on the Garden Cliff Resort & Spa because it is 5 * (someone is worth as 4 *), next to the clean Gulf of Thailand and the hotel's own beach, where you can take water and solar treatments.

The meeting of the New Year 2007 was stormy and now we are tired and rumpled at the Domodedovo airport. There were no problems with the flight, not a big delay of 30 minutes and we were in a huge Boeing 747-200 on the first floor, on the second floor it turned out to be too expensive for us. The flight is not more than eight hours, there are a lot of people at 747, everyone is in the New Year's mood, the more experienced ones changed clothes even before landing in summer clothes. Here we are in Utapao, Pattaya Airport. Moved to the bus and drove to the hotels. Everyone was taken away, we were the last group and the largest.

We arrive at Garden Cliff and inspect our property for the next 10 days, the guide comes out and says: - Sorry, there are no places. You will be accommodated in other hotels! The people rose up like a barricade. – Nett. Stay here, we don't know anything. In general, imagine what happened there, after an eight-hour flight, people were tired, not washed with a hangover, in the heat in winter or autumn clothes, they were also brought last to the hotel and did not say anything. Poor Tez Tour guide. In short, they sent us to the Marriott for three days, from which we really did not want to leave.

In Marriott, beauty is located in the center, everything is nearby: restaurants, bars, markets, shops, the ocean, or rather the bay across the road, take a boat and sunbathe on the island. True, it's not cheap. About 100-120 dollars round trip, tell me how much. We went three times, the third time we decided to bargain for $ 80, it worked out, but they didn’t pick us up and couldn’t leave the island for two hours. There are many boats, but all are waiting for their customers.
Somehow they nailed to the Russian group of four people, and then they paid the boat driver another 80 Baku. Total there back it turned out 160 cu. e. like this they torn; ))). And I also remembered - for the first time they came to the island to swim, all around Russian speech, as if they had arrived in Sochi, and not in Thailand; )). In general, there are only ours on the island, I don’t know if this is good or bad ...On the same boats they offer various entertainments: Diving in a helmet, shooting from military weapons, We were tempted and introduced our beauties to shoot. Also a parachute, jet skis, a standard set ...choose to taste. Only one minus Marriott can not swim near the hotel, you need to go to some island, there are three or four options offered. Were everywhere. Pretty good. Nice, but not bounty.

I don’t remember exactly on which island some kind of beach party took place, we didn’t get to it, but they say it was fun. Debauchery flourishes in the evening on the central Walking Street.

Their services are offered by a variety of institutions with a variety of services. You can buy a girl, a boy, a transvestite who look very nice, and you won’t immediately understand that it was once a boy. Striptease bars with world-famous representations of the possibilities of the female genital organs. Not very nice, but worth a look. Full of bars lit with red lanterns for the opportunity to resort to understandable services. Many bars have a ring in the center of the room where Muay Thai fights are held. It's stuffy outside and there is an unpleasant smell everywhere - it's very annoying.

There are also a lot of restaurants on the street, but it is not advisable to eat there. We picked up all sorts of different seafood in one of the street restaurants, and in the morning a friend was ill. By a council of four, we decided that oysters were to blame for everything, because the girls didn’t eat them, and I don’t give a damn, I’m an omnivore.
Then they ate only in the Italian restaurant El Toro (the name is not exact) right opposite Marriott across the road they cook deliciously, and Caesar is cooked in front of your eyes, very effectively. We stopped by the Russian "restaurant at Zakharovna", the prices are not very modest by local standards, but it's very nice. We had dinner at an Indian restaurant, it is not far from Zakharovna, you can’t say anything cool either. You can find food for every taste and budget. And it's all near the hotel, they didn't even go by Tuk-Tuk during these three days. Tuk-tuk - these are our minibuses only open, almost a convertible.

We went on a sightseeing tour. We got to know Pattaya closer, so to speak, we stopped by the big Buddha. I really liked the terrarium, it is also included in the review. All sorts of cool fish from small to huge ...wow beauty. After the terrarium, we rushed to the “snake farm”, bought cobra wallets there, drank cobra blood and ate fried cobra. Probably only Russians drink the blood of a cobra.

Recipe: Take the blood of a fresh cobra, probably 30 grams. Mix with alcohol at least 60 degrees. Get 60 grams of a cocktail. Drink and drink 100 grams of vodka. And it's all in the heat. ; ))) Well, nothing we are alive. They say this drink is very useful for men. At the end, of course, there was a snake show. Also good, I liked it. The last place to visit on the sightseeing tour was a jewelry factory where you can buy anything you want at not low prices. But they have the purest sapphire gems. You can buy the stones separately, but the price tag...wow. Maybe it is considered not expensive ...but we were not tempted. We spent the evening in one of the many restaurants, then our halves dragged us to the shops ...and so another day passed.

In the afternoon we were waiting for the transfer to our hotel Garden Cliff Resort & Spa 5 *. On the second try, we settled in. The hotel is great, BUT for those who sit in the hotel. There you can swim, eat, etc. , minus the distance from the center.
We got tired of riding tuk-tuks, back and forth. Maybe it seemed to us after Mariotte, when everything is at hand. I don't know. Garden Cliff is a good hotel with good breakfasts. You can travel with children. The hotel has a nice sandy beach with a clean bay. For young people, it is too far from Alkin Street, the city center.

Of course, we visited the Crocodile Farm, an interesting excursion that takes place in a huge natural park in Pattaya, combined with a zoo. Where possible, admire the natural beauties of Thailand riding on an electric train. You can take pictures with animals, approaching them at an unsafe distance. At the end of the tour you will be offered to feed the crocodiles. A very emotional activity. You stand on a high pier where the reptiles cannot reach you and feed these beauties from a fishing rod to which chicken meat is tied.
And after such a show in the restaurant you will be offered to taste crocodile dishes. We were tempted by soup and chop. Very tasty soft meat. Tastes a bit like chicken and rabbit. Quite tasty neither what cobra fries. On the way to the exit, go to the crocodile leather shop, buy: wallets, bags, belts, crocodile leather shoes and happily leave this beautiful place.

All excursions can be visited independently, without the participation of the meeting party, which will be cheaper, but I don’t know the quality. We didn’t try, we decided not to risk it, and honestly, for all the excursions we visited in Thailand, we paid for the Tez tour; ). We also watched the world-famous transvestite show "ALCAZAR" after which the transvestites performing in their chic outfits jump out into the street and take pictures with you for 5-10 dollars.

The pictures turn out beautiful, and the process of photographing itself surprises and amazes no less when these creatures that look like girls, dressed up and made up, demand from you in a rudely male voice a fee for a photo with him or her, in general with this creation of nature and surgeons. A more hyped transvestite show there is Tiffany. But since everyone saw it, we decided to stand out and see Alcazar. The words are the same. For money, I think, too.

After the show, we stopped at the fruit market, got everything different, familiar and unfamiliar. After tasting, it turned out that familiar fruits are tastier than unfamiliar ones. Of the strangers, especially all of us, I was struck by a miracle fruit called Durian. It does not smell good, but according to locals and guides, it tastes wonderful. We did not notice anything of the kind, and the taste and smell of this Durian, to put it mildly, is not a fountain. Gourmet Information: Durian is the healthiest fruit.
It needs to be eaten two hours after it has been butchered, but it is not so easy to butcher it because it is shaped like a volleyball, only heavier and full of thorns. When eating it, you should feel the taste of honey, melon and something else tasty, I probably have all these senses of smell and touch of flavoring additives oscillating with something else. And I want to note that I'm not the only one. Durian should not be eaten while intoxicated, because in reaction with alcohol it can cause a heart attack up to cardiac arrest. Satisfied with fruits and stuffed everything in the refrigerator, we went to bed. In the morning there was a terrible stench in the room, and we learned from personal experience that Durian really deteriorates quickly and the refrigerator will not save. Everything that was in the refrigerator from the food had to be thrown out, everything was saturated with this smell of rotten eggs, the smell of hydrogen sulfide, as the guides affectionately called it. In the evening it was already possible to be in the room, but there was a smell.

There are different stories about Durian. In Bali, it cannot be brought to a hotel; in Thailand, it cannot be taken out at all. There was a story about how a Russian tourist wanted to treat his home to a miracle fruit. And their flight was delayed, something else happened there, but the meaning is this. It takes almost 10 hours to fly from there to Moscow. And the durian in 10 hours, and even the delay, did its job, and the plane had to be landed earlier, because it was impossible to be in the cabin. The rest of the fruits, which are not familiar to the domestic consumer, turned out to be not very tasty. They leaned on standard pineapples, kiwi, apples, etc.

You can go to Bangkok for a day, you can for two. We chose one day. I liked everything quite well, we looked at the historical places of Bangkok, rode a motorboat along the river, fed catfish at the Holy Place, dined, saw living monks for the first time, they are not in Pattaya and you will not meet them. In general, Pattaya exists only as a resort and lives as a separate state.
You can not judge Thailand and the Thais themselves by Pattaya. In fact, the Thais are very religious, they love their king very much, they are brought up and educated. In Bangkok it becomes noticeable. Pattaya is a place for entertainment and the Thais themselves do not like it.

If you want to see the true Thailand, take a two-day excursion to the Kwai River. The best tour of all and memorable. We also took a two-day excursion to the Bounty Island, the so-called Koh Chang Island. Of course, they got excited with the bounty, but you can go nothing if there is nothing else to do. You arrive at Koh Chang, accommodation, offer to see nature, dinner on the beach in the evening. In the afternoon you will take a boat to Koh Ral, Koh Wai and Koh Ran. The walk is pleasant, but nothing special.

I advise everyone to go to Kwai, it's very cool. On a tour of the Kwai River, you will see the real Tai, with its nature, houses, villages, residents, way of life.

You look inside and believe you will like it, despite the long drive from Pattaya to a place called Kanchanaburi province. On the way there will be stops at different places where you will be shown how coconut trees and fruits are used, you will see small villages and life in them. Then, having transferred you to motorboats, they will ride along the river passing by the villages, and they will take you to the “Floating Market”, visit the factory of woodworkers, feed the monkeys, see the road of death. One of the exciting stops will be a Buddhist temple in the rock. You will go inside the rock and appreciate how the monks lived. Those wishing to ride on elephants will be taken through the jungle and a beautiful framed photo will be taken. And you will spend the night right in the jungle to the sounds of various animals and insects. Do not think that under the palm tree ....just the hotel is located in the jungle and next to the river. It is very romantic and beautiful.
And the next day, go back to Pattaya, where on the way you will visit a lot of interesting things. For example: a thermal spring, a waterfall, a pharmacy, a pineapple farm. And make sure pineapples grow on palm trees; )))))). (Joke). Oh, I almost forgot. On a large raft you will go down the river, and then you in life jackets, as floats will be allowed downstream to the waterfall. Also a fun moment.
