We rested in early October with my family in Thailand, in Pattaya. For two weeks we lived in the four-star Garden Sea View. There were several options, but we succumbed to the arguments of the manager at Natalie Tours and chose this hotel, which we did not regret. Last year we rested on the islands, it's beautiful there, but this time we decided to stay closer to civilization.

Garden Sea has several advantages in this regard - on the one hand, it is far enough from the busy center to forget about the city, on the other hand, it takes several minutes to get to the shopping streets by transport. The hotel's beach is located in its own bay or bay, I don't know how to do it right. Therefore, there are no random people and you can not be very afraid of petty theft.

The area is large, carefully maintained, and, like almost all first-line beach hotels in this country, is full of trees, palm trees and flowers. This, of course, is the merit of the climate - it is hot and humid, stick a shovel in - it will give shoots tomorrow.
Room without Karelian birch furniture, but decent. My husband and I always consider the sea and sights to be the main thing on vacation, and the requirements for housing are simple - so that it is clean and everything that is needed is functioning. Quiet at night, no traffic noise, no frantic Turkish animators, you slept perfectly. The staff, as elsewhere in Thailand, helpful and diligent. Smiles, bows. Sometimes even, after the usual Moscow rudeness, it was embarrassing, but we also smiled and left a tip.

Regular visits to the sauna. Surprisingly, but a fact: after it, the heat is more easily tolerated. In the sun we tried to be at a minimum, the sea is a sun lounger, in open space I am in a stole, my husband and son are in light shirts with long sleeves. Smeared with strong sunscreen. We knew from experience that we would burn beautifully anyway. But most of the neighbors already on the second day went like boiled crayfish.

About nutrition.
The third time in Thailand, and every visit in the first days is a food shock from the freshness and unreal goodness of everything, everything, everything ...First, as usual, we pile on all sorts of shrimp and other marine reptiles. In all variants - grilled, steamed, raw with lemon and fish sauce. Plus fruits, mangoes (I'm on yellow, and my husband is on those that are sourer), rambutans, baby bananas, pitihaya, lychee, mangosteen. Durian was not eaten in Pattaya - it must be eaten directly from the branch, of course. After a couple of days, the menu becomes more diverse, we also eat fried noodles (pad thai) in different versions, rice with duck (khao naa bpet) and, of course, soup of soups - tom yam. If you get to Teprazit on a weekend evening, then after shopping in the market you can eat wonderful grilled squid or fried mackerel. And, of course, sweets. They are not for everyone, but I'm just that amateur.

In addition to the hotel-beach-hotel route, we went to different places, so that the track was not very stressful, but interesting.
For example, three trips to Ko Lan, a real tropical coral, like Stevenson's. The first time we went for a fact-finding trip, we spent a couple of hours on the island. And then in full, from 10 to 17. Getting there is easy. First, to the Bali Hai pier (you can also walk along it, such a long gut goes into the sea), and then by ferry to the Tawaen island pier (there is another one, Naban, it is closer, but you need to get to the beaches from it by minibus, and Tawaen right on the beach). Lunch can be taken with you, but we took only a supply of water, there are many excellent food places on the shore. We also went to the Kwai River, a real adventure for two days, nature, elephant waterfalls, etc. We just walked around Pattaya a lot, it is very interesting to consider the local life, although it is too fussy here.

We didn’t try to catch all the interesting places, after all, it was a vacation, not a business trip. We hope to return to this country more than once.
