Spent a piece of vacation at the Garden Sea View Resort 4 * in mid-December 2010. Since I came to rest alone, many questions immediately arose - what, where and how. But on all there were answers already in the second day. The thing is, with what attitude to come - to look for flaws or relax and enjoy something new. I'll start in order: I prefer quiet places, and this hotel completely satisfied my desires - the location is a 15-minute walk to the tuk-tuk road, and on them you are in the center in a few minutes, with bars, restaurants rumbling in the evenings, shopping centers. The territory is well-groomed and green. The beach is large with sun loungers, deck chairs by the pool and with the first attraction - the Temple of Truth, located, as it were, at the beginning of the bay. The water in the sea is like we have in Sochi. Clean and transparent on the islands. You can go to them directly from the beach (Koh Samet and Koh Lan), but there are a lot of people who want to sunbathe and swim on them, sunbeds and umbrellas are paid, food is three times more expensive. The choice is yours anyway.
Settling is fast enough, but remember that in Thailand it starts at 14:00. The room is clean, the mini-bar is paid, except for the water with the same name of the hotel (its stock is replenished daily), you can’t even drink water from the tap
boiled. In the evening, pleasant live music was heard from the balcony, coming from the hall. A small minus was only in the filthy sofas standing by the elevator, but from the elevator you go to the room or go downstairs, so you can survive it. Now for food: I only had breakfast, but believe me, it’s impossible to stay hungry for the rest of the day, food is everywhere. The food in the hotel is close to European, so try everything without fear of spiciness - four full meals, daily rice soup based on chicken or pork broth, products that you can put together yourself in a dish, vegetables, toasts, tea, coffee, milk (very tasty) There are no sweets as such. On the territory of the hotel you can also go to restaurants - in the lobby and below by the pool, food there will be a little more expensive than in a cafe outside the hotel, but if on the first day you don’t have the strength to explore the surroundings, do not hesitate to have lunch and dinner. For example: handmade noodles with vegetables and boiled shrimp - 150 baht (like our rubles to the dollar, it's very easy to navigate), and on the street it will be 100-120. Fruit....this is probably the most amazing in terms of price and taste. As soon as you go beyond the barrier and walk 30-50 meters, on the right is the first fruit table. Mango 30-70 baht, depending on weight, pineapple 30 (peel and cut), rambutans, lychees, bananas and watermelons do not even count. Every day, everything is from a branch, because by the evening there are empty baskets. Follow the road further and you will constantly come across cafes, mini-markets, an exchange office (the rate in it is more profitable than in a hotel and it is better to change $ 100 bills - the rate is higher). Having reached the street with tuk-tuks, feel free to go to the city. The fare is 10 baht, sit down silently and drive to the right place (follow the map, the hotel gives it for free), if you start explaining to the driver where you want to get, he takes it as hiring him as a personal taxi and the price skyrockets tenfold. So it is convenient to rent a tuk-tuk with a company, going, for example, to the night market, which is quite far away. On it you will have the opportunity to taste purely Thai food and of course grasshoppers and cockroaches. If you have any doubts about food on the street (which is absolutely in vain! ) in the Center Festival shopping center, there are also two floors with a cafe. For example, in a Japanese restaurant, a full dinner is from 139 to 199 baht. Souvenirs can be purchased on the ground floor of this center or in Lukdode (souvenir shop, free one-way taxi goes from the hotel). Regarding excursions: I bought tours only from my tour operator in the hotel (Tez tour), I liked the quality in every way. Be sure to visit the Nong Nooch Tropical Plant Garden, preferably with dinner, because. after it, everyone launches lanterns into the sky, an extraordinary spectacle that compensates for fatigue.

The last moment, he is the first, do not use your SIM cards. Communication on a local SIM card costs THREE rubles to any number! They gave me and the whole plane free of charge at the airport, the balance is replenished in any mini-market.
Not from one trip I brought so many photos (670), the country struck and interested me with its unusualness in all respects. HAVE A NICE HOLIDAY!
