We flew to Thailand on 09/14/10, it was the first joint trip with my husband (before that I had traveled around America, my husband had a rest only in Egypt). We chose a hotel for a long time, our main requests were: a more or less clean sea (although we knew that it was dirty there), a bungalow, good bathroom conditions and a budget of 80 tr-85 tr. for 12-14 days. After reading the reviews, we decided to go to Jomtien. Several hotels were suitable for our price category, but we chose the GRAND JOMTIEN PALACE HOTEL 3 + * (Cottage) for 14 days.

We were settled in a bungalow - a 2-storey building with 4 rooms (2 on the first and 2 on the second floor) and with a huge terrace. We had a view of our pool and trees.

Yes, there are scuffs on the furniture, on the floor, but my husband and I are positive people, and these factors did not bother us at all.
Insects. Guys, in any Asian country there are a lot of them, different, big and small, crawling and flying. Most importantly, do not leave windows and doors open and that's it! We went out onto the terrace - opened and closed the door, left the terrace - opened and closed, there would be no one. And of course, do not scatter food, fruits around the room. We kept food in the refrigerator, not a single living creature was there.
Breakfasts. Our breakfasts were in the three-story building "Grand Chalet", and not in the main building, so it may differ, because. different cuisine. Many write that Tae is monotonous, but we liked everything. Large selection of everything, and sausages, and chicken, and fish. Rice, pasta, scrambled eggs, all sorts of cakes, salads. Lots of fruits, desserts, juices, tea, coffee, jams and more. They ate fresh pineapples and washed down with pineapple juice))) When leaving early for excursions, they were given a dry ration. Plain, nothing out of the ordinary, everything is edible.
Safe. Opening hours until 19.00 or until 20.00. Once it took at night (about 00.00) to open the safe in the main building in order to go to the hospital because of her husband's "shooting ear". We explained to them, smiled, they opened everything to us and gave it to us)))
Sea. Of course, the sea is cleaner in Jomtien than in the Center or in the North. But anyway, DO NOT GO TO TAI FOR THE SEA!!! ! It is written everywhere, but it is better to repeat. We expected the sea to be dirty, we knew where we were going. Indeed, rubbish floats, muddy, dirty. We had enough pool, trips to the islands from the pier, etc. We had 8 excursions in 14 days, to different parts of Thailand, so there is something to compare with ))
Knock-knock. You leave the hotel, catch any tuk tuk and for 20 baht per person, he takes you to the center, about 15-25 minutes. The main thing is not to ask the driver for directions, otherwise he can drop everyone off and take you for 200 baht. There are many places around the hotel where you can eat, there is a pharmacy, an exchange office, 7/11 (these are mini supermarkets), which have everything you need, as well as alcohol. fruits (we bought constantly around 7/11, so they brought down the price at times).
