I want to share my impressions of a trip to Thailand. We visited it from 12 to 23 February 2013.
We planned this trip six months ago. We chose the hotel for a long time, read the reviews, listened to the reviews of the experienced. We watched all kinds of videos about Thailand and holidays there.
Finally, the day came when we went to buy tickets... We came with a certain attitude to the Green Park Resort hotel (then we saw it - far from the sea). The travel agency offered us the Long Beach Garden Hotel & Spa 4 *, because. there was a promotion for him on that very day (yesterday, that is, on January 9, he cost 103 thousand rubles, and today 72 thousand rubles for two with a flight from Yakutsk). Naturally, we took tickets there. We are me and my husband and my sister and her husband. A day later, my husband's sister took vouchers to the same hotel for the same dates, but from Moscow for 82 thousand rubles. And two weeks later, when our friends were ripe, these same vouchers with a flight from Yakutsk to the same hotel for two cost 121 thousand rubles. But they overpaid another 30 thousand rubles and took a deluxe room. So we are the luckiest.

And here is the day (more precisely the night) of departure. We fly with Pegas Touristik, Nordwind airline. We got an uncomfortable plane. There is little legroom. At the Yakutsk airport, the lady who checked us in could not give us the seats we asked for, she said that the computer automatically gives seats and she cannot do anything.
We flew to Khabarovsk for two hours. In Khabarovsk, we were tormented by waiting for a long time, and now we passed customs control and went to land. There the computer turned out to be more lenient (or a worker) and we were given seats at the emergency exit. Seven hours later we landed at the Bangkok airport. Hooray! We are in Thailand!
We went through customs, got our luggage, jumped into the Duty Free and quickly boarded the bus. Two hours later we were taken to our hotel. It was already about 20:00 local time. There we were already met by our relatives from Moscow (they arrived earlier).
I want to note right away that all of us, except for the couple who took the last tour, ordered rooms "superior B". Muscovites, when they arrived, were told that there were no places and settled them in a bungalow (I will describe their advantages later). We, three couples, asked for rooms next to each other, but it turned out that there were no such rooms nearby and we were offered to live together in the "deluxe". Without any extra charge! Naturally, we did not refuse. It turns out we were lucky - we paid for one thing, but got another. They gave us keys, cards for breakfast, some cards for a free cocktail (we did not use them). We quickly exchanged dollars for baht, paid a deposit of 2 thousand baht from the room (in case we break or steal something) and we were escorted to the rooms.
We got a two-room suite, spacious on the fifth floor. One room has a double bed, two armchairs and a TV. In the other room there is a refrigerator, a couch, an armchair, a table and a TV.
Towels and bathrobes were changed every day. The robes are so ugly, with short sleeves made of some kind of swamp-colored burlap, but they were not useful to us. And many aunts in these bathrobes went to the beach. There were also rubber slates.

There was something in the refrigerator (minibar), but I did not pay attention. On the table is an electric kettle, two tea pairs, two glasses, two bottles of water (they were replenished every day and sometimes there were three or even four) and bags of tea, coffee and sugar.
Air conditioning worked properly, hot water, cold round the clock. Shampoos and gels were reported only when I removed the empty bottles. There was also a body lotion that helped with sunburn better than the Aloe Vera advertised by the guides.
About cleaning the rooms I can say this: it all depends on the cleaner. Either clean or not at all! It seems that the bed will be made and the dust will be wiped off, and the ashes from the cigarette on the floor lay as they were. The sisters on the second floor were always cleaned cleanly, the friends on the fourth floor also decorated the bed with petals and flowers. And we only regularly took tips. Well, okay, it didn’t spoil our mood in any way.
Breakfasts are monotonous: sausages, chicken, rice, potatoes, scrambled eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, pineapple, watermelon, delicious bread, yogurts, three kinds of jam, tea, coffee, juices. This is what I remember. There was something else, but for breakfast in 12 days, we went only three times.
The hotel is far from the center, it takes 15 minutes by tuk-tuk, but it's even better than living in central hotels. We walked along the central promenade and saw how people leave the hotel in swimsuits, cross the road with crazy traffic and go to a crowded beach with a dirty sea. With us, everything was exactly the opposite. You go out and the hotel, after a hundred meters, by the pools, they give out beach towels and right there next to the beach. The beach is small but clean enough. The water in the sea is clean (so you will think if you don’t get to the island of Koh Kood in the first days).

The territory of the hotel as such does not exist (this is not Egypt or Turkey). There are two buildings: six-storey and fifteen-storey, between them there is a path to the beach and pools. There are restaurants, bars, cafes. Behind the six-story building, between the 7/11 grocery stores and some other, there is a narrow passage. Walk along it, then the platform and at the end of this platform the entrance to the territory where the bungalows are located. This is what I wanted to talk about. If our previously arrived relatives had not been settled in a bungalow, we would not have known that this is also the territory of our hotel, where we have the right to go. A chic, well-groomed territory, water, fountains make noise everywhere, and in the middle of the territory there is a pool, which few people know about, so it is always empty there. Every evening we rested in this pool, sometimes until the very night and no one kicked us out of there.
There are three grocery stores near the hotel: "Family March", "7/11" and some other. In the first one there are always a lot of people, in the other two there is almost never a queue. The walls near the shops are glass, I look where there are no people, and I go there. The range is almost the same everywhere. Nearby there are several exchange offices, a pharmacy, massage parlors, travel agencies. I did the foot massage twice. The first is near the pharmacy, the second is a glass salon right at the crossroads. Liked the second, so-so the first. We ate at three cafes. Most often in the "Seafood Restaurant" is if you leave the hotel and go along the road to the right, just a few meters across the road there is a rustic-style wooden fence, everything inside is lit up with garlands. It is quiet and peaceful, the food is very tasty and inexpensive. Served us all the time trans Mia. Another cafe that we liked is Red Ant, across the street from the Family Mart store. There, for my taste, the most delicious Tom Yan soup. But keep in mind that there are huge portions. I ordered soup for 200 baht, they brought me a whole pot. And a cafe opposite the hotel across the road, where they sing live, everything is somehow not tasty, expensive and no service. Ordered chicken broth, brought beetroot salad. Although there were no salads on this menu page. The music is loud, it's impossible to talk. Right next to the hotel, a restaurant with live music is open until 11 pm, so we didn’t go there, but took a takeaway grilled duck from them. Very tasty. You can take a half or a quarter of a duck. By the way, we brought a duck and something else to the Seafood Restaurant and the Red Ant, no one told us anything. They even brought plates for our own products.
Also near the hotel, where these ducks hang, they sell fruit. Fruits are sold everywhere, but here it is somehow cleaner. Two women wash, clean and cut the fruits you have chosen for you.
Well, then I want to digress from the hotel. Been to Walkin Street twice. Day and evening. In the evening there is something to see. They dance, sing, perform tricks, film, film, offer drugs, etc. There is nothing to do with children there. I do not understand those parents who go there with the kids.

Our men wanted to go karting. We went. They rode, we looked. I understand that they did not get much pleasure. They say the cards are broken.
We were in the Tuk com store, bought all sorts of phones and tablets for children. They first offer expensive phones there, and then copies from China. So we got the Chinese. Children don't care what to break.
They didn’t really buy anything in the Central Festival store, there are two more shopping centers, and behind them is a type of clothing market. But we did not have a goal to buy rags, so we ran there and calmed down.
Well, now about the most important thing in my opinion. Excursions.
Even at home, we agreed that we take excursions only from a tour operator. Expensive, but reliable. On the second day after our arrival, we were invited to a meeting. They told how. Then we chose excursions for a long time. The fact is that six people from our company came with Pegasus, and two with Tez tour. Tez Tour said that if Pegasus went with them, there would be no insurance. And Pegasus said that insurance is automatically issued for each traveler. And the prices for Pegasus are much lower than those for the Tez tour. In general, we chose four excursions, the fifth was given to us as a gift.
The first trip was a crocodile farm (a gift from Pegasus). The most amazing excursion! Firstly, tireless - only half a day, secondly - the bus is comfortable, then the guide Ell is the best guide of all with whom we traveled. From him we got a lot of information about Thailand. Well, the excursion itself is based on positive emotions, because. animals (and there were not only crocodiles) are always positive emotions.
The second exit is the Tiffany transvestite show. It is something!! ! Gorgeous sets and costumes. If I didn’t know, I would never have guessed that these were trances. But three of our company did not like the show.

The third was an excursion to the River Kwai. The river itself, rafting on it, the hotel where we stayed, the pools - everything is just super! But a very tiring road. On the way we stopped at waterfalls, rode elephants, watched elephant shows. All this is good and even excellent! On the way back, we were taken to a pharmacy, where we bought something. And when we arrived at the hotel and went to the pharmacy, it turned out to be the same thing, but twice cheaper. And in the evening, in front of the seafood restaurant, a guy comes out (there is a market there - there are several counters) and sells everything the same as in the pharmacy, but even cheaper.
The fourth excursion is the island of Koh Samet. An hour and a half by bus, 15 minutes by boat and we are on the island. Horse prices, disgusting food, full of people. The sea is clean. The day was spent. There are some good photos left.
And the fifth, final, most expensive excursion is the island of Koh Kood (Bounty). Sea of impressions. The road is long, the bus is terrible - dirty, emergency exit on tape. A half day trip. On the way we stopped at waterfalls, fed carps, stayed in an abandoned city of monkeys. As always - all on emotions. About seven hours by bus, an hour by boat and we are in paradise! Bungalows on the beach, coconut plantations, white sand, clear sea, hammocks under palm trees, minimum people. What else does? ! They fed normally, although my friend was ill all night. She says that she got poisoned by their food, but we ate the same thing and did not get poisoned. Just overheated, I think.
Alcohol there at the same price as in Pattaya.
Urom, a specially trained monkey was picking coconuts from palm trees, and we watched. I definitely took off two hundred pieces, and then took off after dinner. They say we are lucky, not everyone can see such a spectacle. There was a fire show in the evening. Self-taught boys twisted the fire so that it was breathtaking. Not very professional, but we liked it. We talked in the hotel with people who took this excursion for a thousand cheaper, but from the street - they were brought to a terrible hotel, on a rocky, dirty shore. They are not happy and dissuaded us. But we really enjoyed it!
After this island, the sea near the hotel seemed smelly and dirty. From the hotel or from the pier at the end of Walkin Street, you can take a boat to the islands. We were on the island of Koh Lang. For eight of us they took 3500 baht. Twenty minutes and we are on the island. There the sea is cleaner, but there are more people than on the hotel beach.

Well, my story has come to an end. When checking out from the hotel, you must hand over the keys and present a receipt for the return of the deposit. They check the room for fifteen minutes, so you need to come in advance. There is a luggage package at the hotel - 100 - 150 baht, depending on the size.
The vacation was a success, everyone is happy, but the second time I would not go there. I do not understand people who go to the same place several times, although to each his own.
We flew without delay, except for the fact that we were warned a day before that the plane would fly three hours later. It didn't bother us.
This time the plane was comfortable and the Thai registrar understood what kind of seats we wanted (unlike the Yakut ones). But all the positive impressions were spoiled by the Yakutsk airport. We are not like people! The plane was driven up to the sleeve (there was a frost outside - 38, this is after +32! ), the happy people went to the exit, everyone was put back in their seats. For half an hour they measured the temperature of the passengers with some kind of device in a non-contact way, then they took them down the ladder !! ! And they put me on a bus to take me five meters!! ! And why, one wonders, at the airport sleeves? And at that time there were no more flights. Then we tried to get luggage for more than an hour. The room is small, the tape is not designed for such an amount of luggage. In general, we got a suitcase and another forty minutes in line to get out, because. luggage receipts are checked by one girl, and there are five observers around, and 300 passengers. In general, a mess!
I want to say about the tour operator: in principle, it’s normal, but Coral Travel cannot be compared with anyone. Even with Tez tour. Therefore, next time only Coral!
