Never!
April-May 2009 was at the Sheraton. One pleasant impression: a good room (deluxe pavilion ocean view), spacious, comfortable bed, a pyramidal roof overhead. The veranda overlooking the sea leaves much to be desired. There are no towels on the sofas, under the roof the fan is noisy, like a downed Junkers plane.
We arrived at the hotel on April 20, the temperature in Pattaya was + 40 in the shade, we decided to swim in the pool, the temperature in the pool turned out to be +42 - +45, maybe more, everything resembles Turkish baths (the cooling system was clearly faulty). We decided to swim in the sea. Two days - two attempts. The first day cut the sole on the reefs, the second cut the knees at a distance of 70 meters from the shore. It is impossible to swim, there are reefs everywhere and a lot of garbage that floats from the center of Pattaya. On the beach, sand is poured on a five-centimeter layer of plastic film, if you stumble, you will land on the film. The beach is cleaned once every three days, dirt is everywhere, some kind of rusty wire is lying around in a coil, 20 meters long.

After 5 days, the main pool was closed for repairs. The other two pools, one for small children with a depth of 90 cm, the other for large children, it says 1 m. 20 cm. In the morning the water was normal, in the afternoon it was very hot. From morning to evening in the pools Thai and Chinese children aged 4 to 14 years. The noise is like a flock of rooks bathing!
A week later, the main pool was allegedly repaired, part of the tiles were replaced, and painted. They stuck two pipes, water flowed out of one pipe, flowed into the other, it was probably a filtration system. So the water flowed in and out for two days. The water was sometimes yellow, sometimes muddy, but when it turned green-blue pink (the color of copper sulfate) on the third day, the general manager declared the swimming season open. We lived above the pool and all the remaining days the pool remained colorful. Thanks to the attendants, in secret (so that the general manager would not find out) they told Russian tourists in the ear not to go into that pool.
In Thailand for 15 years, this has never happened anywhere.
To Thailand yes! Never at the Sheraton!!!
