HELLO, I WANT TO WRITE A REVIEW ABOUT INDEPENDENT TRAVEL TO PATTAYA.
Rested with my husband from 1 to 15 July. Our vacation began with browsing the Internet.
Thanks to everyone who writes, it really helps.
I want to say right away that in order to better navigate the review, you need to take a map of Pattaya in Russian, they are free in any store (we took them at the Best supermarket at the entrance, take a few different ones and choose which one is more convenient for you !!! )
And so the hotel booking on the website http://www. booking. com began, it didn’t take long to choose and book the GREEN PARK hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 10 o'clock, immediately settled in, they took payment for the room in cash, since the payment from the card did not go through.
If you withdraw money from an ATM (no matter what amount), the commission is 150 baht. You cannot withdraw more than 10.000 baht at a time.

A little about the hotel: The location of the hotel is very good!!!! ! You leave the hotel to the right 200 meters and you are on a busy street, go right again about 50 meters to the square with Dolphins, there go tuk-tuks continuously towards the embankment and along the embankment to Volkin Street, cost 10 baht. The hotel is good, everything is clean, great pool. Breakfasts, as elsewhere in Thailand, are monotonous, but everything is fresh and you can always choose something, you will not be hungry. The room was cleaned well, left 20 baht. In general, I can’t say anything bad about the hotel, I liked the choice (before that, we rested 2 times in Phuket, Karon Beach and Kata), there is nothing to compare with.
Now a little about everything
There is no sea and beach like in Phuket near the hotel. People travel to the islands by ferry.
Before the ferry
from the hotel, go to the dolphins and go to the road that goes along the sea, you will see tuk-tuks, 10 baht per person and eat to the very end to the famous Volkin Street, if you are lucky, the same tuk-tuk can take you to the ferry, and maybe drop off at the beginning of Volkin Street. But do not despair and go to this street feel free to take another tuk-tuk there and it will definitely take you to the ferry for 10 baht too. Landmark - this should be a street along the sea, it is one-way and ends just near the pier where the ferry is. You need to go through the entire pier and at the end on the right side you will see these ferries, there sits a grandmother who collects 30 or 40 baht per person, children are free.
We didn’t go because it was a pity to lose time on the road (about 1 hour one way). Therefore, we chose a hotel with a good pool (1.6 meters deep) and that was enough for us. We have thought out a program more excursion.
Food:
Around the hotel
There are two cafes across the street from the hotel. We liked the one a little to the right of the hotel. The cost of dishes is 50 baht (with chicken, pork) first and second courses. Anything with shrimp 170 baht. The portions are large, tasty. When paying the bill, the GREAT HOSTESS gives a present - a bunch of delicious little bananas (a trifle, but nice! ) We had lunch and dinner in the cafe, if you want, you can order food to the hotel, they will pack it in a box for you.

I also want to say that for dinner we ordered fish and shrimp at the BIG supermarket (Bigse). Choose what you want (price for fish for 1 piece), shrimp for 1 kg and tell me how to cook: grill, boil, fry in oil. They tell you how long it will be ready (about 40-50 minutes), we ordered a grill. After receiving the order, you pay at the checkout, the cost of fish, cooking is FREE, and the taste is just wonderful!
We also ate in various other cafes, somewhere tasty, somewhere not, so choose for yourself according to your taste. I wrote that we liked it nearby and delicious!
Markets
fruit market and a few things - VIEW MAP from Naklua street turn to Potisan street to the east (there is a traffic light at the crossroads) and go towards Mini Siam, it will be on the right, also about 15 minutes to go. This market is open every day until late, you can eat whatever you want there. Prices for fruits and vegetables are cheap.
Shopping malls and shops
There is a good supermarket near the hotel, cross the road at the Dolphins and almost immediately around the corner there will be a supermarket "Best... "
Further along the northern street, if you walk for 10 minutes, then the North Lotus will be on the left. On the second floor there is a large supermarket, as well as a lot of inexpensive clothes and inexpensive cafes where you can eat. We mainly bought clothes there. The assortment changes, so you can go several times during your vacation. Goods are of high quality, compared with the markets and inexpensive.
The closest Big C is located on the second street. It looks like a Lotus, but it seemed to me that there was less choice and the quality was worse (relative to clothes)

Now for the souvenirs. I didn’t like Lukdod and Good Price, it’s expensive and the same thing. I would recommend the warehouse store! I'll try to tell you where it is. They found it themselves at the end of the holiday, by accident. So, for Big C on the second street, so as not to be mistaken, go around Big C around, because. There are many exits in Big C. You won't notice it right away, there is no inscription. Furniture, clay statues stand near the shop. It may seem that this is just a furniture store, but there are two of them, on the left is furniture, on the right is a warehouse-shop. A lot of everything and inexpensively cheaper than anywhere else, but since this is a warehouse there is no air conditioning and it’s a bit dusty. But the prices will surprise you!
Tea shop is good
This store is located on the second floor of the Central center shopping center, (Big C on the second street) the store is small, it is difficult to notice, it is located in the center of the hall.
Excursions (look at the map, all the sights are indicated there!
All the beautiful places where we were, we visited ourselves, except for one. I'll tell you about it later
1 TEMPLE OF TRUTH (Wang Boran or Prasat MAY)
Opening hours 09:00-18:00
Ticket price (entrance) 500 baht
left the hotel, got into a tuk-tuk, which goes along Naklua street, drove to the jay number 12 (look at the movement campaign on the round signs will be written numbers) and followed the signs for 400 meters to the temple. We bought tickets at the entrance and went to admire this 105-meter masterpiece. I liked the tour, beautiful, unusual.
2 beautiful park Mini Siam!
The park is located on the Sukhumvit highway, within the city, in the direction of traffic to Pattaya, opposite the Bangkok hospital, next to McDonald's. There are two huge painted demons at the entrance to the park, you can see it well from the road, you won’t pass by
Near the BEST supermarket, we take a blue tuk-tuk (10 baht fare) and drive to the intersection with Sukhumwit Road, exit and go left, then cross the footbridge to the opposite side of the road, and in a couple of minutes you will see Mini Siam. Price for entry is 300 Bat. . . works from 10 am to 10 pm. It is better to come to the park around 16-00. The park is small, we liked it.
3 garden Nong Nooch.
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden
The park is open from 8 am to 6 pm 7 days a week.
Adult ticket 500 THB
We went to this park on our own, you can’t get there by tuk-tuk, it’s far away and the park itself is located in the depths, far from the main road.
Near the hotel took a taxi for 700 baht (round trip).

I already guess that someone will say it was possible through a travel agency (500-600 rubles per person) Yes, you can, but you, like on all excursions, will be brought to some shops, there will be limited time in the park and you will walk one after another , I'm not saying that someone will get lost and he will have to wait a long time! Everyone has a choice how to go!!!
It takes 30-40 minutes to drive, at the entrance to the park you are given a ticket for 500 baht per person, and you can walk anywhere and as long as you want! Believe me, this is a big plus!
Yes, I also wanted to say that I read in the review that if there is no elephant show, then the entrance to the park is free-NO. It's up to you to watch the show or not - the entrance is 500 batt.
We walked in the park for five hours, it is very beautiful there, you can eat, buy souvenirs, the prices are the same as in the city. While we were walking in the park, our taxi stood in the parking lot. After taking a walk and taking pictures, we went to the hotel, but on the way we asked the driver to drop us off at the AULET store, as they wanted to go to the night market (it is located behind the store), it works from Friday to Sunday from 17 to 23 like. I didn't like this market. Nothing interesting, maybe because everyone saw it in Phuket. For the exotic and more interesting I liked the MARKET ON THE WATER.
market on the water
Pattaya Floating Market
You can get there on your own, take a blue tuk-tuk from BESTA, get off at the crossroads with Sukhumwit Road, cross the road, take a white tuk-tuk 20 baht before the market. You will pass the Makro store, then the Oceanarium for about 25-30 minutes. A large FLOATING 4 MARKET sign hangs in front of the market, you can see it from afar - you saw it, feel free to press the stop button. In the market you can buy souvenirs, clothes and eat, and it’s just interesting to see everything.
The market is open daily from 10.00 to 21.00.

Now I’ll tell you about the tour through the Sanya Tour travel agency. This agency is very close to the hotel. Get out on the road with tuk-tuks and here it is in front of you, just cross the road. We contacted him to book an excursion "THE FLIGHT OF GIBON". They painted and praised everything for a long time and beautifully, but in fact it turned out like this: (husband went) In the morning he was taken away early before breakfast, they were instructed on the spot and forward. The route along which the flight passes consists of 23 spans, but when a group in which there were 5 people passed 10 spans, they were lowered to the ground, it seemed like it started to rain. The guys were taken to dinner, about which I don’t even want to write, what was given cannot be called dinner !! ! Water - broth, rice and greens, although when buying a tour at a travel agency, everyone spoke very nicely. After lunch, the rain ended, but they did not continue the flight, saying that it was dangerous !! ? Upon arrival in Pattaya, my husband went to the Sanya Tour. , told the whole situation, but at that time there were tourists in the agency and the operators very nicely said that they would figure it out and call us. Until the evening there was no call and we went to the "Sanya Tour" ourselves. They started offering a ticket to the show69, but they found out what date we were leaving, there was some problem with the time and date. We did not spoil our holiday, turned around and left, promising to say "hello" via the Internet. I told my situation, and you decide where to buy excursions. There are many different agencies around. And it is better to ask around the tourists who have already gone on an excursion.
Massage
When leaving the hotel to the left, walk 100 meters - massage of the blind.
My husband went, he liked it, the price is 200-300 rubles per hour.
I don’t know, maybe I forgot to write about something, write to everyone I will answer
