Southeast Asia is super!
I have been to many countries, but Tai is something super!
I bought a ticket for two in Kyiv at the CAM travel agency on Lukyanovka. Great service, explained everything in detail. We flew on October 27.2009 transiting through the United Arab Emirates, so much cheaper than a direct flight from Boryspil. Flight time to the Emirates is 5 hours. There an hour and a half and a flight to Bangkok. Flight time 6 hours.
We flew from the Emirates by plane "Boeing-777" of major airlines. If you talk about the service in flight, it will take a lot of time. It's just that if you compare it with the service of our airlines, then we simply don't have it.
Upon arrival at the airport, the visa processing took about 40 minutes. You definitely need a photo for a visa, it can also be taken on the spot at the airport, but it’s better at home, it will be faster. There are many different advertising booklets in the airport that contain maps of resorts, cities and other useful information, it’s better to stock up on them. Passing through passport and customs control is a simple formality.
At the airport, everyone is met by representatives of travel agencies, they are easy to recognize by their uniforms, signs, etc. We were taken from the airport to the hotel by a comfortable bus and placed in rooms. There, a representative of the SiamTravel travel agency, a Russian, met and explained everything in detail and told, while he hands over a SIM card of a local mobile operator for communication with him and a tourist backpack. On excursions, it is very useful, it is convenient to put a towel and other trifles in it, and it is also convenient to carry bought souvenirs in it, etc.
You can buy all the necessary excursions from the representative of the travel agency, he will tell you everything in detail about them. It is better to take excursions in a package, i. e. 5 at once - it will be much cheaper - around $ 250 per person. The representative of the travel agency always reminds about all excursions on the eve by phone and very opportunely, because. there, the head is just spinning from impressions.
The Pattaya Park Hotel is located about 3 km from the city center, and the entire line of hotels in the city stretches for about 20 km. The hotel is very large, two multi-storey buildings almost by the sea and fully corresponds to its name - there are a lot of palm trees and other vegetation around it, it is simply immersed in greenery. The hotel fully meets the price-quality ratio. The hotel is located in a quieter area than, for example, in the center, but at the same time the cost of living in it is much lower. At the same time, it is also worth considering the fact that in the center of vacationers there are much more and because of this the water in the sea is dirtier and in the center near the beach there is one of the three central roads through which you need to cross when you go to the sea, which is also not very well. I didn’t see any pedestrian crossings there.
To the sea from the 2nd building of the hotel is somewhere no more than 100 meters, and from the 1st even less. The beach is sandy and clean. Beach towels are issued free of charge at the hotel itself when going to the sea, but a couple of times it was such that they were not there. There are sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach, paid, but we did not use them. The water in the sea is warm and clean. When it gets dark, the beach is closed, obviously for the safety of tourists, because. after sunset, swimming in the sea is dangerous and prohibited due to all sorts of exotic living creatures.
The contingent of vacationers in the hotel is somewhere between half Russian speakers and half Koreans, Japanese and the like. The hotel has a free Russian-language local newspaper, which contains a lot of useful information. The hotel rooms are comfortable with a bathroom, shower, toilet, balcony, air conditioning, safe, TV with two decent local Russian channels. The rooms are cleaned every day and the bed is changed every day and little is given out, shampoo, etc. The maids left a small tip - 5 baht - this is somewhere a little more than 1 UAH. In general, the hotel, the area around the hotel, the beach, including the surrounding area, are clean .
The best way to get from the hotel to the center and beyond is by the so-called Tuk-Tuk taxi - a light truck converted to carry passengers. The cost is fixed 10 baht. In hryvnias, this is where 2.5 hryvnias, and in Russian rubles, about the same, 10 rubles. There are no public transport stops. Stop at any place on demand. Calculation
