Hello! I will publish my story in the form of an interview, just for a change and to help my cousin, a student, a beauty and just a good girl, a future journalist.

A French oasis in the sands of the Sahara.

The Republic of Tunisia (a former French colony) is located in the north of the African continent, which is washed by the warm waves of the Mediterranean Sea. Tunisia is a colorful country with a rich historical and cultural heritage. Tourists go to Tunisia to relax under the gentle rays of the Mediterranean sun; try the famous thalassotherapy; plunge into the history of Ancient Rome; feel the Arab world with a slight aroma of French charm; and of course, to see and feel with all the fibers of your soul the most swollen and hot desert on earth - the Sahara desert.

K - Today I'm interviewing Alexander. Alexander, for his rich travel experience, managed to visit many parts of our planet, but a modest Arab country called Tunisia occupies a special place in his collection of impressions, isn't it, Alexander?

A - Oh, yes! Despite the first impressions upon arrival in Enfidhoo (one of the airports) and on the way to the hotel, the general idea of the country remained very good, but what can one hide an excellent impression, Tunisia was able to firmly enter the rating of favorite countries.

K - Sasha, tell me, what spoiled the first impression of the country and how did it later transform into great memories?

A - Upon arrival at the airport and on the way to the hotel, I noticed rather dirty streets and poorly developed infrastructure. However, upon arrival at the hotel, all my doubts were removed as if by magic. It was a five-star hotel in the best traditions of Arab luxury and European pragmatism.

However, it is worth noting that excellent impressions were formed not only from the hotel, but also from a rather interesting pastime in this wonderful country.

K - many of our subscribers are interested in the financial side of your trip, tell me, is Tunisia an expensive country for a holiday?

A - The cost of an 8-day trip to Tunisia is commensurate in price with a trip to Turkey or Egypt to a similar hotel, so I can’t call the rest elite or expensive. As for the costs in Tunisia itself, the prices are similar to those in Egypt. Again, thanks to a successful bed and all-inclusive meals, the rest turned out to be absolutely not expensive, even budgetary. But what you should not save on is excursions, because these are exactly the impressions that I expected from Tunisia.

K - Very interesting, from now on please elaborate!! ? ))) Where were you, what did you see, what do you remember?

A - Unfortunately, our trip lasted only 8 days, so we didn’t manage to visit the lion’s share of the sights due to the obvious reason of lack of time and a rather impressive list of excursions offered, but at least we completed the planned program. The most desirable and memorable is a 2-day trip to the Sahara with a visit to many interesting places along the way. We first visited the Colosseum, the Tunisian Colosseum, the best preserved of all built during the Roman Empire and the 4th largest in existence.

Then we went to the south of the country towards the desert, on the way we stopped at the city of sculptures, unfortunately I don’t remember its name. Further, in the course of moving inland, the landscape changes, olive groves are replaced by rarer vegetation, which in turn gives way to desert landscapes. I also remember a small village, in which carcasses and skins of rams hung near each house, people were preparing for some kind of Muslim holiday.

The barbers (tragladytes) were also very impressed, they are cave people and they really live in caves, although civilization has not abandoned their dwellings (there are electricity and gas meters at the entrance, a school bus takes children to school). And the Barbers themselves differ from ordinary Arabs in that they have blue eyes.

K - What about the desert itself? Did you like sugar?

A - But what about, the sensations are indescribable when the trade wind (not a Volkswagen, but a desert hot wind) blows with fine, fine sand, and a Tuareg (again, not a Volkswagen, but a desert rider) passes by.

Your breath just stops. At the same time, I was very impressed by the contrast of the desert with the oasis, when you come from the deserted expanse of sands to a flowering garden full of exotic animals and plants.

In addition to the above, the tour included a camel ride, a Jeep ride through the sand dunes, horseback riding, a zoo, a visit to the Star Wars filming location, an overnight stay at a hotel at a mineral spring, and much, much more.

K - Is there anything else to see in Tunisia besides the desert?

A - Yes, a lot of places, from the zoo to the historical heritage. Personally, we still managed to go to the city of Sousse, Monastir, visit the medina (a market inside every Arab city) and even shop.

K - Yes, I see you didn't waste your time. And what would you advise tourists traveling to Tunisia?

A- The first is to buy a ticket from professionals, the second is to go to the Sahara, it is really worth it, the third is to go on vacation in a good mood and then you will spend it exactly the way you want. Fourth, this is an Arab country - bargain.

K - Thank you for an interesting and informative interview, I wish you to continue in the same spirit, I hope you will tell us more than once about the most unusual and interesting corners of our planet.

A - And thank you for the interview
