After a not very pleasant stay in July-August 2018 at Club Hotel Belpinar 4 *, Turkey (review available)-
Flew to Djerba - October 2018.
The choice was made absolutely spontaneously, quickly (in 3 days) due to the fact that there was no one to leave the child with (unexpectedly) for the autumn holidays. The country was needed without a visa, because there are difficulties with the father of the child - he does not give permission to leave, the flight is no more than 5 hours, so that it is warm, maybe. month of October and the sea, preferably warm)) and the presence of a water park in the hotel.
I found very few reviews, so I'll write my own.
A hotel has been selected. Criteria: large area, water park, all inclusive (alcohol until 00.00!! ))), not far from the airport. Well, everything is not far on Djerba - the island is not big.
Rested: a child of 6 years old and 1 adult (I actually).
No TEZ TOUR this time! Pegasus. Pleased ooooh! We even chose seats on the plane. We took the first row to calmly stretch our legs ($ 10 to the price tag).
Departure without delay, both there and back. From the airport to the hotel about 20 minutes. The hotel is large, beautiful and clean! The area is big! No seeds, God forgive me) Across the road is a shop with souvenirs and clothes. The contingent was also pleased. They didn't pay anything when they moved in. At first they gave a room on the 1st floor, after a request to change, they changed it without any problems. The staff speaks excellent Russian, English and French. Everyone is very friendly and smiling. They just love to chat. It is better to change money at the hotel. And little by little, because it is forbidden to take their currency out of the country. Although, we brought some coins. Accidentally found in a child's backpack. There is a SPA, a game room with billiards, consoles and slot machines.
Wi Fi - only at the reception. And a little by the indoor pool.
The room is large, the view is excellent, the cleaning was good. We lived in the main building on the 3rd floor. The bathroom is big too.
The water in the pool was cold for me - I did not swim. I swam in the sea and in the indoor pool. Since October is the end of the season, it was cool sometimes in the evenings - a strong wind. The sea is warm, clean, but the waves. Again, because of the wind. But the tan went great! Still not washed off)) The sand is soft, pleasant. Lots of free sunbeds by the pool and on the beach.
The beach is full of horses, camels - but the Arabs do not bother with this service. If you want, you can come along. There is a bar, hookah. A lot of algae on the beach, they are cleaned every morning, but the sea washes up again. It didn’t bother us at all, so I won’t put it in minus.
Animation for children, as in Turkey, Egypt and others. Adult... well, so-so. Not intrusive. Fine. No disco - young people will be bored. There are clubs in the center. Easy to get to and not expensive. Taxis are always at the hotel.
Food. Here is the problem. No, not like that… PROBLEM! Disgustingly tasteless. As far as we are not picky eaters and small-minded, but here it’s just wow! I have no idea what the parents of young children fed. The selection is very small. If you arrive a little later than the start time of the meal, maybe everything will end altogether - you will eat up what is left. Constantly running out of coffee, cutlery and plates. Even fruits are tasteless. The fish is all small with small bones, the meat is all in the veins, the fresh side dishes are either overcooked or undercooked, they didn’t cook the crabs, but made them on the grill! I've never tried anything more disgusting. Gross soups. It’s normal for me, the main thing is that they pour wine! The beer is not diluted, tasty. . . after two glasses you really feel that you have drunk beer))) But it was difficult to feed the child. They only ate pasta with chicken or turkey. All days. Breakfast is pancakes or scrambled eggs. Sweets... here it’s really delicious, delicious! I lost 3 kg in 8 days. Therefore, for me, this is also a plus for the hotel))))
You can bring drinks to the rooms. Russian channels pieces 5.
Water park. Big, a lot of slides. There are 2 children and 6 adults. The toilets are clean. There is a bar))) again))) Works almost all day.
We went on an excursion to a crocodile farm. From this hotel exactly 5 minutes by taxi. Cheap.
There are 2 museums on the farm. It is very interesting to walk around to see how the life was arranged earlier. One with exhibits, the other on the street - separate buildings. At 11.00 there is a small show. The Arab shows reptiles and talks about them. In English, Arabic and French. Interesting.
There are many souvenir shops.
T. Djerba is a relatively “young” resort, that is, there is still work to be done. But, in general, we really liked it, we will definitely be back! Then I talked both on the bus and on the plane with tourists from other hotels and concluded that our hotel was one of the best.
