Rested in Tunisia from 6 to 16 July 2006 Impressions are different. We flew with the Transaero airline, Boeing-747, good service, the plane is clean, you can watch TV in flight. There were no flight delays. Everyone left on time.
The climate in Tunisia is good, not hot, although from 12-15 hours the sun is easily tolerated. The water is very warm, I didn’t see any jellyfish at all, they say that all jellyfish swim in SUSSE. There are a lot of Russians. The Bel Azur hotel itself is small. Upon arrival at the hotel, the hotel manager wanted to transfer our two girlfriends to the neighboring Sol Azur 4 * hotel in one room. Said that the hotel was full, that they informed the company about it on June 28th. I wanted to make money on them, they were very outraged. All this communication was in English between the hotel manager and our one friend, who is fluent in it. Then the tour manager of the ITS company Elena came up, who had to talk to the manager and settle the situation not in front of our eyes. Immediately there were two singles (single) for our girlfriends, they actually paid for each one in Moscow for their own personal number. There was no mention of any additional payments for rooms. Everyone got everything normal.
We lived in a bungalow near the sea, very comfortable. Removed doesn't matter. We had a leaky toilet, the TV remote did not work, there was no Russian channel (although our friend on the other line of the bungalow had a Russian channel). It was not very important to us, no one was called to fix it. There were no insects in the room. Towels: there were two of them, if we had a room for two adults and one child of 8 years old, the third towel appeared three days before departure. The quality of the towels is - worn, faded, fringes around and the threads dangling. I wanted to even take a picture of the most terrible thing, but I didn’t have time, they changed it. They went to the sea at 9 o'clock, came at 12 o'clock. The beds were made, only large towels were changed, and for the face they were hanging, so in my opinion they hung all the rest. The cleaner once handed one dinar, said thank you in French.

BEACH. They do not clean up, cigarette butts, iron caps from beer bottles are lying around. (In Cyprus, in Ayia Napa, the beach is dirtier). You can hurt your legs. The sunbeds were occupied in the morning (free of charge), by two in the afternoon they were gone, they brought their own towels, I didn’t see any towels from the rooms, everyone had their own. The entrance to the sea is good, convenient for both adults and children. There are water activities on the beach. The hotel area is green, a lot of cats run around it, we tried to avoid them, because. the child is allergic to them.
FOOD. Breakfast is the same as everywhere else. breakfast starts from 6 am to 10 am. at this time they started baking pancakes, squeezing natural juices from fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, when watermelons were sorted out, the next portion was brought far from immediately. The bulk of the people were from 9 o'clock, so they made conclusions - all the quantity and variety of food could be obtained at that time, but in a crowd. We heard that one of the Russians wrote a complaint about the fact that at breakfast there is a very long queue for pancakes and scrambled eggs. The next day, two people appeared at the distribution, who baked the whole thing, BUT IT was only one day, then everything was the same. It was unpleasant, of course, to look for tables with clean tablecloths, this was a problem, apparently they have trouble with this. At dinner, of course, they put clean tablecloths on these stained tablecloths, and the look of the tables was different. We were assigned one table, at which we always ate later, though without a number. Our company consisted of five people, and we somehow arrived half an hour later than the start of dinner, and found that the table was occupied. This happens. Before our eyes, it was like one formidable-looking compatriot told the waiter (who tried to explain to him that the table on which he put the plate was occupied) that he was tired of eating at different tables, so he would sit here !! ! For dinner, you always had to come on time, because. a delay of 20 minutes can lead to standing and waiting for clean plates. Mess.
The attitude towards foreigners is completely different, not the same as ours. They can see from a kilometer away that you are Russian. At the tables where foreigners were sitting, vases with flowers were placed, napkins were laid out, and so on. Somehow they smile at them more and grow up. Before leaving, our two girlfriends finally succumbed to the proposal of an Arab who walked every day along the beach and offered to buy excursions to a pirate ship. 35 dinars - departure at 8-15 am and arrival at 13-30 at the hotel. Prepayment 5 or 10 dinars. In the morning, when the bus arrived, there were only two seats in it, our friends and another Russian couple with a child were pushed aside, saying that another bus would come after them. When two foreigners were put on the bus and he left, they explained to ours that they would go after lunch, like on the second shift, on demand gave an advance payment, without apologizing, and left. The mood was spoiled. There was also a moment, on the beach, one young woman asked other compatriots who came from the Travel Plus company (in my opinion) if they were being moved to another hotel? The manager of this company approached her and, two days before departure, suggested that she and her child move to a hotel 400 meters from Bel Azur, said that everyone who came from their company was also overpowered. All this was a lie! They do what they want! For a long time I tried to guess why they treated us like that. Use our patience, or ignorance of a foreign language? I DO NOT KNOW!!!
Talasocenter "Bio Azur", where you could communicate in Russian, it was already pleasing. I went to the algae wrapping procedure - they coat the whole body, wrap it in a heating pad, lie down for 20 minutes, then wash off all the dirt. They say it's good for the skin. Massage with oils - bullshit. My husband did it differently, he really liked it. Everything needs to be taken as a complex, then the sense will be cheaper. I went out of curiosity. We didn’t go on excursions, we wanted to rent a car (the rental is almost opposite the hotel), the cost of a Volkswagen golf course is 100 dinars or 77 dollars, but it so happened that one Arab drove us all day around the outskirts of Tunisia in his car. They drive the same way as in Egypt, without rules, and everyone honks to each other.

About souvenirs. Prices are different, if there are price tags, then the price is stable, and if not, then you can bargain right up to blue in the face, it’s realistic to bring the price down to a minimum, but it may be that after buying a thing after trading, in a nearby store, you can stumble upon the same one with a price tag and cheaper!
CONCLUSIONS: in general, it’s normal, you need to go once. I was much more scared before I read the reviews about Tunisia. But there was nothing to do, because it was necessary to go somewhere inexpensively, saving on a visa. Our Russian resorts can wait, but if there is an opportunity to see the world, then you need to use it! By the way, last year we rested with the whole family in Cyprus, I can say that I liked Tunisia more. But the Arabs, they are ARAB in Africa! People, you always need to be prepared for any situation, of course - the Internet helps with its information, only everyone adjusts it for themselves.
