Departed from Tunisia, Hammamet, on a honeymoon. We chose a tour from the Pegasus operator, among the hotels from this operator there was a more or less decent Le Royal Hammamet Hotel, it had a good rating and a lot of positive reviews (as it turned out, it was custom-made and the rating was also fake). Arrived at Monastir airport. It takes 2.5 hours to get from the airport by bus to the hotel (it's good that our hotel was one of the first). Upon arrival, we were settled within 15 minutes, brought a glass of some bittersweet warm juice, as a compliment from the hotel. We were escorted to the building where our room was located. This is the most distant building from the central building. A two-story building, on the second floor of which there is a huge iron clattering structure - it is also an air conditioning system. The room was on the 1st floor. When we went there, we almost suffocated (without exaggeration! ) It was so damp and musty. We opened the windows, but the stench didn't dissipate. They turned on the air conditioner, but it didn’t work !! ! It’s +40 outside, but the candey doesn’t work ! ! The room was not cleaned: greasy fingerprints are everywhere, the remains of past guests on the toilet, bathroom and washbasin. There are skeins of hair everywhere. Just a sickening sight. We barely spent the night, drenched in sweat. The next morning we had a meeting with a guide from the Pegasus operator - Svetlana. When we came in and hinted about changing the room, the whole group also began to complain in unison about their rooms (faulty air conditioners, stink, clogged drain in the bathroom and sink, etc. ). Guide Svetlana said that the rooms will not be changed, because the hotel is full and if we want to change the room, we need to go to the reception and offer them a small cash reward. wrong with the room? It's one of the best! I'll call you a master for air conditioning" I tell her that we are newlyweds, and counted on a different level of comfort. She replied irritably, "Congratulations. " The room was not changed for us, we lived in it until departure. We were repairing the air conditioner for 2 hours in a row, a whole delegation of Tunisian "masters" came and began to pump out the water that had stagnated there. It all flowed right onto the floor and formed a stinking brown puddle of condensation that had accumulated there for years. The masters left and did not clean up after themselves, 3 times I called the reception to have them cleaned up.
A separate topic is food and visiting breakfasts and dinners (we had HB). This is a large canteen, in which there are a lot of people who line up in an uncontrolled queue, a lot of screaming little children, voluminous Arab women who are far from the concept of "politeness" and elementary norms of behavior in a restaurant. Dirty dishes, forks, glasses. I went everywhere with antibacterial wipes. Very bad waiter service. We waited 40 minutes for the water we ordered for 4 dollars 0.7l. The canteen also does not have air conditioning, a mixture of smells of food, sweat, harsh Arabic perfume and God knows what else!
The beach is poorly cleaned, there are no sun loungers. For 3 days, black algae washed ashore, which are not washed out of a swimsuit and swimming trunks. To get towels by the sea, you need to leave a $ 20 deposit at the reception - redneck marketing. Towels are flimsy and stained.

There is free internet near the reception, the signal is weak but constant, for correspondence it’s normal, for video chatting on Skype it’s not enough.
There is a food and water store 15 minutes from the hotel, but it is forbidden to bring your own water and food into the hotel, security responds to packages and bags. I had to carry water in a beach bag with tricks. Rave!
The hotel is disgusting, the staff is lazy and taciturn, the hotel is not worth the money. I do not advise!
Thank you for your attention, appreciate your vacation and go around this hotel!
