The first time I visited Tunisia, and of course the first time in Yasmine Hammamet. I liked the Marilla Hotel, they settled us on the first floor, at first we were upset, but then we realized how many pluses our room had. Firstly, it was not necessary to go around the entire hotel to enter it, since in the evening after 23 all other doors were closed, and secondly, the pool and the beach were almost at arm's length. The rooms were cleaned every day, and we were personally informed that they were going to clean our room and asked to open it. It is not true about umbrellas and mattresses that they are free, for an additional fee. I really liked the food, every day something new, we ate even if it didn’t fit. The waiters served 5+, probably only because we were Russians. For us they even laid special tables for dinner, decorated with rose petals. I thought the French would kill us, because all the attention was riveted on us! Entertainment was also at the highest level, we were entertained both during the day by inviting to all sorts of different types of games, dances and sports, and in the evenings there were concerts where they danced, acted out comedy scenes. True, the whole thing was in French, but we still did not understand anything, laughed like crazy. In general, almost one third of the hotel guests are French, since Tunisia is a former French colony, and the French do not speak any other languages at all. At the end of my vacation, I even learned a couple of French words. The animators are all gay, they don’t even hide it, but it amused us, and they didn’t pester too well. I really enjoyed my vacation and will definitely stay at this hotel again!
