They were in Tunisia for the first time, and expected more civilization, as from a former French colony. But everything turned out to be in typical Arabic style. The hotel is clearly in need of refurbishment. Everything is there, everything works, but in such a 'tired' state. Compared to other hotels around, it's really good, but by conventional standards, not very good. The food is good, although not very varied. The beach is clean and well-groomed, clean sand, good descent into the sea - perfect for swimming with children. The situation in the city itself is a little sad - everywhere devastation and decline, people were reluctant to go for walks from the hotel. Not far from the port, if you go to see it is worth it.
