I will say right away that because we were traveling in the top three, we didn’t expect much from the hotel, for the money that we paid for the rest it was a sin to complain about something.
But it turned out the opposite - we arrived in complete delight, we didn’t want to leave! Such an atmosphere, such service, such delicious and varied food was nowhere to be found. Rarely in what five of Egypt will you get everything that the Selim Club will give you.
Let's start with the cons of the hotel, and then we'll talk about the pros.
1. Animation. The main contingent of the hotel - the French / Italians, all entertained imprisoned for them. Even the Germans, who are also quite a few in the hotel, have nothing to do with animation. For children, the program is nothing like that, but again in French.

2. Language problem at the reception. Okay, they don’t understand Russian - this is not a problem now, but they, as a rule, are not a belmes in English either. There was only one lady who spoke English tolerably, but when she was not on shift, it was possible not to approach the reception - they smile politely and nod their heads, but they do not understand anything. And we do not understand them accordingly.
3. Cleaning. As they gave out 2 tubes of shampoo / shower gel upon check-in, they did not give new ones until the very end. Shampoo near the hotel is not a problem to buy, but still somehow unusual. Cleaning lady that leave a dinar tip, that do not leave - cleans the same way. Differences were not noticed.
4. Technical support. When we checked in, we discovered that the phone in our room was not working. In principle, we didn’t need him at all, but it just became interesting - he left a request at the reception. An hour later, a local technician came with a screwdriver, unscrewed the phone, looked in there with a smart look, twisted it back and told me in broken English that everything would work in an hour and went home. We are still wondering what miracle he was hoping for - he probably asked Allah to make the phone work on its own. As a result, tel. did not work until the end of the holiday, but we did not waste time - it is still not needed.
5. Deposit for remotes. This has not been seen anywhere else - when you check in, you leave a deposit of 15 dinars for the remote control from the air conditioner and from the TV set. When you check out, you return the remote control, and they give you 15 dinars. Probably a lot of remotes were stolen from them, since such a rule was introduced.
Now about the pluses, which were much more:
1. Location of the hotel - about 1.5 km from the center of Port El Kantaoui, you can walk there without straining. To Sousse - km 10 by taxi. Taxis are cheap - 3 dinars to the Port, 6-7 to the center of Sousse. And it does not matter if you are traveling alone, or in a company of 4 people - the price does not change from this. Minibuses are more expensive if you travel with a group.

2. Staff - good-natured, well-disposed towards Ukrainians, there is no such thing as many people write about other hotels - that Germans are served first, etc. , and we are last. If you give tips from time to time for a dinar, then in general they will run after themselves and give the best places in the restaurant, pour cola / alcohol into normal containers, and not beakers of 200 grams.
If you do not give a tip - the attitude is also quite normal, respectful.
3. Hotel. The hotel itself is quite clean and well maintained, both in the hotel and around it is very beautiful and green. 3 * it is most likely because it is already a bit old and there has not been a repair for a long time. But everything is in a very good condition, there are no cockroaches and other filth, the dining room and reception are clean. The residential quarter is located separately from the Main Building, this has many advantages - noise from animation and other events does not interfere.
4. Sports/Entertainment. Free on the beach - catamarans, kayaks, windsurfing boards, etc. - 30 minutes per day per person. There are also many tennis courts, a football field, a cricket field and minigolf. The pools (there are only two of them) are perfectly clean. Sunbeds for free, mattresses for 2 dinars / day, but it is not clear why they are needed at all.
5. Food is something with something. The range of food changed every day, except that with soups they are rather weak. And so - shrimp, meat of all kinds, chicken, rice, couscous, pasta, fish of a bunch of different and different ways of cooking, potatoes, a lot of sweets, watermelons, melons, figs, dates - you can’t list everything, we tried a lot of things and in the end they all brought home 2-3 kg of excess weight. And most importantly, everything is fresh. They didn’t feed so tasty in the fives of Turkey / Egypt, but compare with what we have. The meal schedule is arranged in such a way that from 6 am to 11 pm you can always have a bite to eat somewhere on the hotel if you want. If you are struggling with excess weight, it will be difficult for you to follow a diet in this hotel. There is a lot of everything and everything is very tasty.
Helpful Hints:

There is a guide Mohammed on the beach who sells a boat trip. So, he understands and speaks Russian quite tolerably (in my opinion, the only one in the hotel) - if you suddenly don’t get through to the reception staff for some problems, you can ask him how best to do it. He is a sociable person, we gave him a couple of packs of our cigarettes before departure, he was happy as a child) Well, you can safely take an excursion for a walk from him - in the city the price is the same, or even more expensive, and in addition to walking on a boat, you will make a good person feel good .
Take ATVs outside the hotel - you can save almost twice by agreeing with any of the points with ATVs, since there are already three of them not far from the hotel.
Arabs are very flattered when you are interested in their culture/customs. Therefore, it is not bad to learn the basic words in Arabic and you are provided with discounts in shops:
Aslama / Bislema - hello / goodbye
Lebes - something like wishing you all the best and "how are you" 2 in 1.
Shukran - thank you
Sahbi - friend
In the bazaars, we divide the initial price by 5 and start bargaining. They love to bargain, with this they have a whole cult. If you don't like haggling, there are many fixed price shops/markets where everything is pretty cheap.
It seems that's all, if someone has questions for me about the hotel / city - write, I will answer.
