We went to the DREAMS BEACH hotel on last-minute trips and returned very satisfied and happy. There are really very few Russian speakers in the hotel and this is a real paradise for relaxing from work, your country and "culture". Everything is clear, everyone is friendly, no one bothers with unnecessary conversations. For example, knowing very little English, we made friends with a local Tunisian, drank beer with an Italian, talked with Poles... But if we didn’t want to, we didn’t communicate. It is very fun to talk about your own and know that you will not be overheard, it is fun to guess the nationality, language, it is very informative and useful for developing spoken language skills and human culture.
Tunisia is a very friendly and colorful country. Arab in appearance (in the sense of the appearance of the inhabitants) and European (in the sense of culture and service). The country is vibrant and interesting. She was especially well understood by participating in a two-day tour of Tunisia to the Sahara and back. We were accompanied by a wonderful educated and intelligent guide Abdel (I hope I spelled his name correctly). He answered all our questions, dispelled a lot of myths and stereotypes about Tunisia. His incomparable style of presentation, excellent Russian language is beyond praise. The organization of the tour was wonderful, despite the fact that we traveled about 1000 km, everything was easy, interesting, right on time. Coliseum, camels, berbers, olives, dates, Tuareg hotel, dawn, lake with rose water and white shores, jeep safari, magical oasis, the first mosque, the cheapest souvenir market and many more interesting things. This is the tour in a nutshell. . .
As for the hotel itself: yes, the rooms are not large, but they were cleaned every day, no one stole anything! One exit of the hotel to the street, the other directly to the beach, it is convenient that the outdoor pool on the second floor directly above the beach. Yes, locals come to the beach, but we came to look at them, and they at us, they never interfere, they are much more accurate and modest than many of our local residents.

We liked the food very much. We had half board without drinks for dinner and it unexpectedly easily and comfortably fit into our holiday. Firstly, the food was delicious, varied and beautiful, and secondly, both European and national, so there was no desire to buy something to try, because we were treated to everything. Water in the supermarket nearby 4 bottles of 1.5 liters for 1 dollar, so you don’t even need to bring it with you, normal drinking water or juices, whatever you like... And another plus of half board is that the day is free for rest and walks and energy enough.
The period that we rested is not yet the season and we also really liked it. No acclimatization - everything is easy and comfortable, no crowds - quiet and calm and the prices were pleasing!
Regarding alcohol: in our bar at the hotel there were all the drinks, in the city they were not freely available for sale, but those who wished could easily find them near the medina. This is due to the recent revolution in the country.
And about the revolution: it did happen, but in January, and now everything is calm in Tunisia, at least for tourists.
Great vacation, great country!
