Rested in August 2011 at Dreams Beach. I must say right away that this summer it was already the 4th vacation, before that I had just returned from Turkey from Papillon Zeugma. They decided to go to Tunisia spontaneously, and in the evening they bought a last-minute ticket, and in the morning they already flew. I visited the C grade for the first time and the last! I don’t know who writes comments that the hotel is excellent and the food is varied. Probably those who didn’t go further than their Muhosransk and didn’t see anything !! ! There is no hotel, the only plus is that it is practically on the seashore. We were given a room on the 4th floor, a corner room overlooking the sea (and then for 10 dinars and a box of chocolates). The view from the balcony and brightened up the stay in this hotel. Basically, the rooms are all side, with a view of the construction site on both sides. I read in the reviews that the rooms are stolen. Lies. Nobody took anything (except for the dinars left for cleaning). The pool in the hotel is small, but it makes no sense to be near it, the sea is just in front of the hotel. Although the poor Poles enjoyed this chlorinated puddle very well))). Sunbeds on the beach are paid, 2 dinars. Bring your own towels, hotel towels are not allowed. The sea, of course, is gorgeous there! It seems to be the same Mediterranean, but much better and cleaner than in Turkey. Next to the hotel beach is the municipal beach, on weekends it is packed with local Arabs. But if we ignore this invasion, then you can swim and sunbathe perfectly.
Food in the hotel is a separate topic for conversation. In short: SHIT!! ! It was the first time I had a rest on the "breakfast-dinner" system. For breakfast, there was nothing to eat except boiled eggs and soy sausage. But thank God, at least tea was given. For dinner, no drinks were given, everything was only for a surcharge. The menu consisted of three sloppy salads, potatoes and chicken. Dessert just killed me: two types of cake, watermelon and melon. I understand that it would be unreasonable to expect a 3-star hotel and it would be unreasonable to expect everything, but for everything to be so neglected....And on the last evening we were given some other grilled meat besides chicken. I don’t know what kind of camel meat it was, but for 3 days I had a terrible disorder, indigestion and fever !! ! The beach bar only has a few types of pizza and a couple of sandwiches on its menu. Pizza is more or less, but say right away that you are waiting for 10 minutes, no more, otherwise they can carry it to you for 40-50 minutes.
There is also something to write about excursions and guides. Ali offers his services at the hotel, approaches, says that he works as a guide in the hotel. In fact, he is not a guide, he just pays for renting a place there and resells tours of your own operators. There is a table where there are prospectuses of all operators and lists of proposed excursions and prices. You can look around and compare prices yourself. He just winds up the cost and has on top of 20-30 dinars per person. So don't get fooled! Talk only to the guide in a special form with the name of the operator.

Regarding the location - the hotel is at the same distance from the Medina and from Port El Kantaoui. If you want to go there, go to the main road and take a taxi. Immediately say that you are not going according to the meter, but for 2 dinars. Both the Medina and the Port cost the same. But at night it is more expensive, 3 dinars.
That's where you should go in Tunisia - so it's in the Sahara. This is a bomb!! ! Operators offer 2-day excursions. The cost is different - from 150 dinars to 215. Specify the itinerary program, it may differ slightly. If possible, do not travel with Muscovites in a large group in a large bus - this is a disaster! Everyone walks in a herd, normally they won’t let you see anything. If you are fluent in English, then I advise the Irish operator Sun Way. Since there are 2 Irish people in the hotel, a maximum of 4, it can get so bad that you go on an excursion alone, moreover, in a jeep. English speaking guide, very good, explains everything clearly.
You can buy souvenirs in Medina, moreover, immediately drop the price offered to you by 4-5 times. Their prices are calculated on a sucker. Very greedy and yield with difficulty. In every shop you will be grabbed by the hands and offered to buy something, immediately answer in Arabic: LEE, SHAKRAN, which means - NO, THANK YOU. Then they immediately fall behind.
As for leather products, there is nothing worthy there, everywhere there is one continuous identical nonsense. Good leather bags (40-50 dinars) were only in Port El Kantaoui in the store opposite the liquor store.
In the evening, I advise you to go to Port El Kantaoui, where the Hannibal amusement park is located, there is where to take a walk. Very beautiful singing fountain!
In general, there is no hotel, but if you are just going to swim in the sea and on excursions, then in principle you can relax! In addition, for such money, there is nothing to complain at all!; )
