We rested at the SAMARA hotel, which we consciously chose even before ordering the tour, since the price-quality ratio was quite acceptable, at least based on the reviews of tourists. For a whole week I studied photos and reviews about the hotel, advice on settling in, tipping, etc. By the way, I did not find a single hotel that would not have negative reviews, since there is a human factor, that is, one and some like it too, annoy others, and still others don't even notice...Well, let me start by saying that this is our first trip abroad. When we left the Monastir airport, huge piles of garbage immediately began to grow out of the ground. To be honest, I was scared ...Do not be scared, the outskirts are the outskirts, well, people have nowhere to put their garbage. We go further, people get off the bus to their hotels, which somehow all look alike, we didn’t even remember until we arrived at the Movenpik hotel, which simply amazed with its luxury!!!
Very beautiful hotel, we have not seen it more beautiful. Further down the course (turning left) is our Samara...After Movenpika it looked like a barn...reluctantly crawling out of the bus a little ashamed of our choice of hotel...
HOTEL. We go. The first impression starts with the smell in the foyer...Something like dampness...Well, okay, not so important. We were seated right away even though we arrived at 9am. I say right away - there is no Russian-speaking staff, you need to speak English) The person accompanying us led us to show the room. As travelers warned on the Internet, they first check into a worse room (where the TV does not work, but there is a refrigerator, I wonder why it is needed with All inclusive, generally nondescript environment) and look at the reaction. People have different requirements, so there are those who immediately agree. But we are not one of those. Taught by the advice of experienced tourists, we go to the reception to ask for the best room!

The second time they really settled in a good corner room with a view of both pools and the stage at once. The room has a powerful central air conditioner, LCD TV, plastic balcony door, new plumbing. In the photo, of course, I saw better rooms, but this one somehow immediately settled down to the soul. We paid extra 10 dinars for this joy. At the reception, they immediately gave red bracelets, thanks to which it was possible to have breakfast even before the official check-in (12.00). There are several buildings on the territory of the hotel, only about 1450 rooms - this is a lot. The territory is very well-groomed, every morning they thoroughly wash the road tiles with mops, clean the pool. It’s a pity that the pool only worked until 18:00 : (, and the slides were turned on only for a couple of hours a day with an hourly interval, so we were able to catch this happy moment of the slide’s functioning only on the day of departure, but finally we dashed off with all our heart !!!
In the morning, animation is held in a small pool in the form of water volleyball and dancing on the water. In the evening animation around the main pool. At first, everything was delightful - on the first evening we were pampered with belly dances of an Arab beauty, and we counted on such spectacles every day. But in the following days, we observed the same "trains" from the rest to the same music, the same movements of the animators also to the same music, in short, and so every day the same thing several times in a day. I confess honestly - a couple of hackneyed songs are tired to hell, although, if without animation at all, it would be mortal longing. The people who work at the hotel are also different - there are good people with whom you can talk heart to heart about Russia and Tunisia, they are good-natured, there are also insolent people who are "fed" with tips and are "friends" mainly with those who give them.
The sign on the door handle of the room "do not disturb", which we almost never removed, even when leaving the room, worked for the maids, they never entered. We did it on purpose, as we were warned about cases of theft in the rooms (for which no one is responsible). I had to rent a safe, which was located at the reception, it cost 10 dinars per week (it's cheap). It was nice to come to the room and find everything left in its place : )! On the territory of the hotel there is a SPA-salon with a bath, massage, telassotherapy, a gym, etc. If you exit from the side of this SPA-salon, cross the road, you will immediately see the SAMARA BEACH sign, and go to the beach, as officially stated - 200 meters, but it seemed to us that a little more, 7 minutes walk, no more).
BEACH. Sun beds are paid = 3 dinars per person. There is a cafe on the beach where you can dine according to the general schedule of the hotel. The sea is clear, the water is azure!!!

MY CONCLUSIONS: the hotel as a whole is good, but frankly it doesn’t attract 4 *: elementary simple interior, no frills, too monotonous food, etc. - believe me, we are not gourmets, and we don’t find fault out of harm, we try to be objective, because We pay money and we want to receive an acceptable service. The declared star rating imposes an obligation to meet certain criteria, especially since we have something to compare with. Even the spa worker, (Russian speaking) told us that this hotel is not one of the best and even good, there are much better for the same price. Previously, the hotel was 3 *, several (not all! ) Buildings were equipped with good rooms and declared 4 *!! ! In general, the hotel is perfect for families with children, as there is a tiny pool and a slide for the very young. The bulk of vacationers are Poles, who are always confused with us : ). The attitude of the staff towards the Russians is good, there were no incidents. After check out at 12.
