We rested in Tunisia together with my daughter in late June-early July. Flight from Kyiv to Monastir was delayed for 1 hour. Arrived at 15:30 local time. Flight time - 4 hours. In flight, we were fed an hour after takeoff (rice, potatoes with meat, bread, butter, cake, juice, coffee, tea, fanta). On TV they showed a map of the movement of the aircraft. All announcements were in French, because the airline is Tunisian. We saw Croatia with many islands with patterned coasts. A tornado was seen in the region of Italy. There was some turbulence at times.
Upon arrival at the hotel, they are treated to a cocktail and carry suitcases. To get a good number they gave 20 dollars (initially, the provided room overlooked the road and a noisy transformer box).
The first dinner surprised us with a variety of dishes. You collect meat, fish, side dishes, vegetables and take it to the table, then you return for dessert - pastries, fruits (melon, watermelon, peaches), ice cream. Drinks are not served for dinner, but are sold: tea and water for 2 dinars. In the store, water costs 35 millimeters, but it takes 20 minutes to walk to this store.

Breakfasts are a little more modest - as a rule, a side dish, sausages, vegetables (sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, carrots, beets, onions), as well as olives, black olives; yogurt, muesli, pastries, honey, fig and strawberry jam, coffee, cocoa, milk, jam, apples in syrup, boiled and fried eggs.
The rooms are spacious - double bed, dressing table, TV, telephone, bathroom is also spacious, there is a closet in the hallway. For cleaning, they left one dinar every other day (about 6 UAH).
The hotel's beach is quite large, clean and well maintained. You take a seat under an umbrella and wave to the staff to bring a mattress - 2 dinars for the whole day. Under an umbrella in the shade it is not at all hot, because. a light breeze blows from the sea. The sea is salty and very clean. At times there are waves up to 1.5 points. The sand is white and clean - it is cleaned regularly.
The surprise for us was the bathing of Tunisian women in the sea fully clothed, in the absence of changing cabins.
There are quite a lot of Russian-speaking tourists - about 43%, among other nationalities: Poles, Hungarians, Americans, French, Italians. Many children, incl. with counselors.
When walking down the street, local guys call out "rush, hello", "look at my goods. "
The excursion to Kairouan and El Jem (a huge Roman amphitheater, where the souls of dead slaves are reflected in the photo) and Monastir was very interesting.
Also really enjoyed the transvestite show in the casino area across from the hotel.
We took a tuk-tuk to Port el Kantaoui, where there are very beautiful places for photos, and shopping is not bad. This is a very peculiar transport, because. shaking incredibly. We went back by taxi for 4 dinars.
Every evening they try to entertain people in the hotel, but first of all children - in the open area, either a fakirs' show, or a folklore evening, etc.
As always, there is one "but". It consists in the unwillingness to return the deposit for the TV remote control and for the safe. They pretend that the whole amount is a fee for use, and only when you show your awareness, they give in and give 55 dinars.
Communicated everywhere in English.
At the airport of Monastir, when flying to Kyiv, they were allowed to carry bottles of water at the customs inspection.

We were very satisfied with the rest in all respects, tk. good hotel, good attitude of its employees and generally Tunisian, as well as many historical monuments.
