Rested in Tunisia for the first time in the period from 7 to 20 August. We chose a cheaper hotel, because. there were money problems. We went to rest from the Express Tour travel agency, everything went smoothly in the sense that we were met at the airport and taken to the hotel.
The hotel is located in a very good location, close to the sea... grace is simple. Gorgeous grounds, a swimming pool, a water park, restaurants... there will be a paradise for children of any age, you can take our word for it. All shops and small cafes nearby. True, you will have to go decently to Medina and Generale. The hotel is literally surrounded by all sorts of clubs and discos, such as Salon, Banana Club and Bonoparte (a party at some hotel, I advise).
As for the rooms, the situation is more complicated, but nothing criminal: when we all arrived together, they immediately handed us the key and sent us straight to the room, when we went there, we were, to put it mildly, not thrilled. The room is right on the 1st floor, the windows overlook the construction site or even the road. But after reading the reviews, how you can get a good room, we acted together. We just came to the registration building and put 20 dinars on the table and in good English they said that we need a room with a view of the pool or the sea... immediately all the problems were resolved, we got a great room on the 4th floor overlooking the pool and water park, i. e. to the main area of the hotel. With an open balcony, it was of course a little noisy, but nothing, we are used to it. The design of the hotel rooms (not only in Marabou) is not European. Often there is a tile with a national ornament. So don't be scared : )

The service is certainly not perfect, but not bad at all. But in order for the maid to regularly change your linen every day, you need to put 1 dinar on your pillow and then your room will always be in perfect condition, the same applies to all staff (waiters, for example). People in Tunisia are very pleasant and polite, it was very pleasant to talk and joke with them.
As for food: the breakfast menu is quite modest, but I think it will do. Those who like to eat buns and coffee for breakfast are just right. At dinner, the choice is much richer. So food should not be a problem.
Sunbeds and umbrellas on the sea are of course paid, 2 dinars a day is not so expensive. By the way, the exchanger is located right in the hotel, so it's very, very convenient.
On the streets, it’s not like they stick to you, but they will certainly try to get to know you, but it’s enough to say a firm NO and they will immediately fall behind, so don’t be scared. In souvenir shops, you are unlikely to leave without shopping. Be sure to bargain with the sellers, they are ready to drop the price from 100 dinars to 20.
As for the animation, I already said that it will be a paradise for children there. Every day a fun mini disco for kids of all ages. . . just class. As for animation for adults, the situation is more complicated, but there is something for us to watch. Plus, the animators there are very nice and friendly, so you are unlikely to get bored with them.
As for the tour. . . every respectful tourist should go to the Sahara. This tour lasts 2 days, but it's worth it. You will ride camels, see how the Burbers live, go to the mountains and ride jeeps in the mountains, as well as visit the place where the Star Wars movie was filmed. So don't miss the opportunity.
In general, the hotel is just wonderful... calmly pulls on 4 *. I advise everyone to choose Maraba, you and your child will like it there. I can say that not even all 5 * hotels are so good, so think about it. It was the most wonderful summer of my life. I left a part of myself in Sousse. . . I wish you all a great holiday.
